I had heard somewhere that all four signees where coming in early; Can anyone confirm that? This is wrong. Landfair and Shaffmaster are scheduled to join the Gophers in January of 2020. The other two will join later.

So I am going to put this out there. I believe Hugh could have had Hamblys job and inherited that team. So now it’s Minnesota’s job to get him that championship!

Since a Gopher fan thought it was cute to invade the Badger 2020 thread:
Go Badgers.

I mean, according to the ESPN commentators last night, Stanford beat the Wisconsin Gophers. So our teams are pretty much interchangeable.

Could it be possible Miyabe would be a starting MB next season? I feel with all the talent and experience she has brought to the table this season, her choice to play Div 1 Volleyball could have been anywhere. However I for one am very glad she chose to be a Gopher. There is no doubt she is a tremendous asset to this team.

Just for the sake of discussion, let me put this out there. I have no idea what the issues were, but let's just say SS issues connecting with the new setter next season continue, then who else would be playing RS, if she needed to be switched out? Do not red shirt Miyabe, but one of the Sophomore MB's instead? There is no doubt Miyabe brings a lot of proven talent both offensively and defensively to the table.

Could the gophers go for a title with all these good freshman they have? Have you not heard of Inky and the Inkettes? It has been Paul Sunderland’s go to story for the last four years.

Could the gophers go for a title with all these good freshman they have? Yes, of course. I am typically hesitant to ever pick a team with a true freshman setter. But, it would not be unprecedented for a true frosh setter to win a title. Just rare.

I was going to mention the Inky run of 2016. If Minny's 2020 class ends up being a core like Stanford's core 4, then I see what people are talking about. Regan and the Pittites? They're hardly petite... Minny just had a growth spurt the last couple seasons.

In my opinion she should redshirt 2020 and then be our starting RS for 2021 Still picturing Landfair on the right after Samedy graduates.
