Well I've got 24 hours on my prediction.
What also surprises me is that I didn't see a long list of recommendations from VT of who the next HC should be. I know there was a thread but it just brought up the usual suspects.

I know there was a thread but it just brought up the usual suspects. i wouldn’t think there should be that long of a list for this high profile of a job. There is no such thing as a sure thing but OSU isn’t going to take any chances.

I bet they roll through Spring Ball with the interim HC.

I bet they roll through Spring Ball with the interim HC. If they do, it would be a massive failure of the administration and a warning sign to any potential candidates.

I bet they roll through Spring Ball with the interim HC. I will treat this post as sarcasm unless told otherwise.

I bet they roll through Spring Ball with the interim HC. I’ll give you 100-1 odds otherwise. You’d see mass transfers and decommitments

Never. Turns out the new space is too groovy. The hipsters won, and now it's a disco, baby.

The AD should have more time now.

The AD should have more time now. Don’t think they made headway with top candidate, they aren’t settled on their second choice who also doesn’t know if they’ll accept. They’ve been working at it.

The AD should have more time now. Don’t think they made headway with top candidate, they aren’t settled on their second choice who also doesn’t know if they’ll accept. They’ve been working at it. When the Basketball coaching job was open they were turned down publicly by at least three coaches including Chirs Holtmann. So in order to save face the AD circled back around and added a few zeroes to Holtmann's offer, and of course he graciously accepted.
I know VB doesn't have the media circus like basketball, so he won't be "feeling the heat" all that much if he has to settle for a candidate that wasn't in his top 5 initially.
