I would think a transfer at this point Almost guaranteed it’s Mari Hinkle. Mutual follows all at once from whole team on Instagram. |

Hinkle would be a great get for the Hawks to help fill Boyer's shoes! She played with both Hansen and Rients with Northern Lights so definitely has connection there. Was #28 Senior Ace and 2nd highest rated libero in 2019 class. Let's hope you're right! Thanks for the info. |

Piecing together our non-conference schedule from others I have found:
Aug. 28 (Coastal Carolina Invitational)
- vs. Duke
- vs. Coastal Carolina
Sept. 3/4 (B1G/Pac12 Challenge @ Illinois)
- vs. Colorado
- vs. Washington
Sept. 10/11 (Iowa Invitational)
- vs. Ball State
- vs. Syracuse
- vs. Iowa State
Sept. 17 (Mile High Invitational @ Air Force)
- vs. Incarnate Word
- vs. Air Force
Definitely some great challenges to prep for the B1G season.

Not sure of how IA is on scholarships, but with seniors returning and freshman arriving their are plenty of transfer prospects that could help the Hawkeyes. Many teams have big rosters for this fall. Ditto next spring.

Ditto next spring. We had no seniors this spring and entire roster is coming back from spring except Boyer. Got a great libero transfer from UCLA in Mari Hinkle to fill that void. Added transfer OH Kacia Brown, who was 2019 Iowa Gatorade Player of the year, from Mississippi State in the spring but she was not able to play because she already had played at MSU in fall of 2020. We also add strong OH Addie VanderWeide in the fall so have 5 really solid OHs, especially if Kyndra Hansen is healthy again (she sat out most of the spring season with undisclosed injury). Solid lefty setter Jenna Splitt becomes eligible this fall and will add a ton there, which I think will free up Courtney Buzzerio to just focus on being RS. All middles back plus adding Toyosi Onabanjo, who just was named Houston private school player of the year. So, we should have roster of 18 unless something unforeseen happens. Everyone seems to be sleeping on the Hawks for this fall...think Iowa will surprise many. I am looking forward to this fall in new Xtream Arena! |
