A team pic with a word play on the team mascot, followed by a statement that summer work outs are under way (stated in a separate sentence and line) does not seem to violate NCAA regs to me. Most, if not all, D1 schools provide summer workout facilities and guidance to VB SAs. Nothing in the tweet indicates they are mandatory. Nor does it provide info on what the activities are, or whether they are team-wide or individually different, e.g., some hitting weights, others playing rec sand VB. Just giving fans some very non-descript info on team activity. I'm not naive, most D1 programs put together summer workout activity "guidance" for their players and many provide scholarship funded summer school attendence, holding them on campus. Does not mean it's mandatory to keep their scholarship. Some of this pushes the envelope for sure, but not this tweet. |

Ridiculous and also embarrassing for them to assert this coming close to rising to the level of a "violation." And for kicks, I just perused through the posting history of this individual. Literally almost every one of them is negative, derogatory, condescending, accusatory or sarcastic in its theme centered around a topic they likely profess to love (volleyball)...some of which have been in this very thread. In some cases, I do feel a little bad for those who live in an existence of negativity and who clearly derive a sort of joy from attempting to adversely affect others with their own pessimism and from "stirring the pot"...but not in this case.  And I betcha we won't hear a peep in response from them, either. GO HAWKS! |

She kept blowing up so a top 20 team won out it seems. Commitments starting to happen so hopefully that helps the Hawkeyes. |
