Oh, gosh! Still JWO? She couldn't take the starting sport from mediocre Poganny in her club team. She is weak for international ball. Know of better options? We're all ears. Courtney. At least she can pass.

when are these made official? Probably after the 2020 VNL. Right now we are all just predicting who we think will make the cut.

Russia Roster:
S: Startseva, Romanova OH: Parubets, Voronkova, Kosheleva, Shcherban OPP: Goncharova, Khaletskaia MB: Fetisova, Koroleva, Efimova L: Galkina
Edit 4/25.
Starters in Bold.
This roster is their best hope of making it out of the pool....which is going to be tough. That being said they didn't have Startseva in Rio and that cost them especially vs. Serbia in the quarters.
Sergio Busato their Italian coach is a good fit for them and they seem to like him. This bodes well for them going into 2021. Can they develop more of their youth in time?
This is the last hurrah for many on this roster. They are aging out. Russia will have to work hard to qualify out of Europe once their world ranking continues to drop as I expect it to with the new world ranking system. The Dutch, Turkish, German, Belgian, and Polish teams are all looking better with promising youth joining their ranks and existing young players developing quickly.

Turkey:
S: Akyol, Ozbay OH: Baladin, Ismailoglu, Karakurt, ? OPP: Boz, ? MB: Erdem, Gunes, ? L: Akoz
Edit 4/25
Starters in Bold.
This postponement of the OG has brought a potential new member to this roster. Melissa Vargas of Cuba announced in the 2018/19 club season that she would be applying for Turkish citizenship. Now the waiting period is usually two years. Will she be eligible in time?
4th/5th OH or 2nd OPP: Melissa Vargas, Fatma Yildirim, Seyma Ercan, Neriman Ozsoy, Aylin Sarioglu (DS/L)?
3rd Middle: Akman, Guveli, Arici, Kalaç, Toksoy Guidetti?
Will any other Turkish veterans come out of retirement to make a big push for the OG? Gözde Kirdar perhaps?! She only retired at the end of the 2017/2018 pro season.

Turkey: S: Akyol, Ozbay OH: Baladin, Ismailoglu, Ercan, Yildirim OPP: Boz, Karakurt MB: Erdem Dundar, Gunes, Caliskan(Akman) L: Akoz Probably the easiest to predict. I miss Neslihan Demir, the now retired outside hitter. She was a star player for Turkey.

Courtney. At least she can pass. Sometimes JWO vs Courtney, who will get the spot, that is...interesting.

Is Malykh still playing? I am not super familiar with the Russian Superleague. I don't know. She hasn't made a NT roster since 2018 and she wasn't that impressive in the 2018 VNL. She didn't make the World Championships roster that same year.

Know of better options? We're all ears. Courtney. At least she can pass. JWO can take tips. Courtney can't take tips. JWO is a great defender. Courtney is a so-so defender. Courtney can pass above average against non-ITA, SRB, CHN teams. JWO can pass decently against non-ITA, SRB, CHN teams. Both can't pass vs. ITA, SRB, CHN. So let's take the one who can offer more besides passing.
