Is she playing professionally anywhere? Last I saw was last year when she left Conegliano with an injury. She's listed on Hisamitsu Springs roster. Either she's still injured or their other opposite is performing better, I did a quick check of some of their matches on youtube and looks like she didn't play. Do you feel she would add to Japan's medal chances if on the roster?

Do you feel she would add to Japan's medal chances if on the roster? No matter who Japan brings I think they are far from medaling. Japan is placing a lot of hope on Yuki Ishii from Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical as the successor to Saori Kimura. Sarina Koga from NEC Red Rockets is also a focus of attention. But the rest of the team is not at an ideal level. Their World Cup performance was underwhelming to say the least. Japanese fans are increasingly displeased as well and some are calling for the resignation of head coach Nakada. I doubt they will replace Nakada at this stage though, with less than 8 months before Tokyo, parachuting a brand new coach into the team is going to be tough.

Well since only 12 can play in Tokyo, 2 will be cut from that roster. Most likely two of these: Arias (MB), Peña-Isabel (OH), Larysmer Martinez (L), and Mambru (OPP). Tough call. I’d probably leave out Larysmer & Arias or Mambru. Was Gonzalez (Opp) present during the recent qualifiers? Yes. But they chose to use her sparingly. DR is in a weird position where they have enough offense that they would rather put Priscilla Rivera out there to receive and let Brayelin attack without passing responsibility from anywhere on the court. This is the best reception lineup, as it also allows for the MB Eve to pass instead of De La Cruz. Nonetheless, Gaila is a huge weapon, especially on a double-sub option and a good blocker.

When will the schedule be released?
We know who is playing who every day right? Based on prior olympic schedules. We just don’t know at what time each specific match will be?
Will Japan get the late match every single day of the prelims?

Will Japan get the late match every single day of the prelims? Considering there are 6 matches a day. They will probably start at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm and 11pm. I would imagine Japan will always have the 5pm or 8 pm time slot since that is prime time during the week but they could play at 2pm on a weekend.

It’s three different sessions of two matches per day. So only 3 matches have official start times, the others will start ~40 mins after the first match of the session

Did you mean ~ 40 mins after the last match of the session?

It's always the coach and never the players. That irritates me.

Argentina is interesting. They rotated their rosters all during the 2019 season so predicting their full roster will be tough. Here is what I have so far:
S: Mayer, Benitez OH: Nizetich, Rodriguez, Bulaich, Soria OPP: Fresco, Piccolo MB: Lozcano, Farriol, Michele Tosi L: Rizzo
This is basically their World Cup roster minus their 2nd Libero and 4th MB.
Thoughts?

USA OH: Hill, Larson, Robinson, Bartsch-Hackley OPP: Drews, Thompson MB: Akinradewo, Ogbogu, Adams SET: Carlini, Hancock LIB: Wong-Orantes I dunno about Adams or Hancock. I think we might see Dixon and Poulter in those spots.

It should be more or less what we got for the qualification tournament, right? Well since only 12 can play in Tokyo, 2 will be cut from that roster. Larysmer for sure gets the boot for Queen Brenda.
