The question we all want and need to know :
Who's going to kneel in front of the scorer's table? Reyes or Hildebrand? Will there be a duel to decide?

I'm going with one at the 10ft and one at the corner of the table.

It seems unlikely that Hildebrand would come back to Nebraska and wait for more than a year before taking over the reins.
I think we're seeing the beginning of the end of the John Cook era. And I think that ends this year.

I'm sure we'll find out more Sunday.

I sure hope so. And if that's the case, this is an even more amazing hire.

And I think that ends this year. Disclaimer- I have no knowledge of Cook's long term Nebraska plans and couldn't care less when he leaves. If Hildebrand is the heir apparent and you think the transition will be made within a year, why is this some rockstar hire? Hildebrand's history is pretty beach centric. He has never managed his own collegiate indoor program. Now, I'm not passing any judgment on Cook wanting to specifically groom Hildebrand for the job, but the thought that all of this is going to come to pass within a year and Cook and the Nebraska administration is going to hand the keys to the kingdom over under these circumstances is a bit hard to believe.

Cook isn't retiring anytime soon, but I do think he wants Tyler to be his successor. He is very much a rockstar.

I remember when Rockwell getting hired as assistant at Penn State was definite proof that Rose was about to retire so she could be the replacement.
