Like I said, the Chinese government are a bunch of skin thinned sissies who are easily offended.

Its so pathetic that its not even funny. I'll ask wifey if she has read anything in the local news about Italians thanking the Chinese by singing the Chinese national anthem. If yes, then I'll break it to her that its fake news.

Who, other than the Chinese, even knows the Chinese national anthem? LOL! I couldn't hum any part of the Chinese anthem. Not even the Italian anthem. The only anthem I know very well is the Russian anthem (and, of course, the USA anthem).

I know that one from watching Formula One races during the Schumacher era when Ferrari won all the races. He used to wave his hands and sort dance to it.

Holy crap, nothing beats the power and passion of the Russian national anthem, my favorite among the world's anthems:

I guess I would have summarized it as stay-at-home needs to continue until we have an effective vaccine or cure, though personally I think the more important point is we need to watch China and South Korea closely. If China's approach, which the Imperial College paper calls "case isolation" but I have also seen referred to as "centralized quarantine," continues to be effective after they start relaxing social distancing restrictions then that seems like a good path forward. China also doesn't think N95 masks are sufficient for health care providers--they provide googles and head cover as well. South Korea's approach, as I understand it, is more about tracking everyone's movement so when one person tests positive they can figure out immediately who else should be tested. In any case, don't get depressed about it. That won't help. Slides from a presentation that I found interesting by a statistics professor analyzing China data: drive.google.com/file/d/14tGJF9tdv4osPhY1-fswLcSlWZJ9zx45/view

I had a tear fall down my face. And I don't even know who this woman is. And you're right, this is a great anthem.
