when you need wikipedia to explain your posts it may not be worth mentioning. I figured you'd probably need the full wiki article to even begin to grasp the concept.
Please proceed with your whining.

There will be plenty of people who will get infected by the delta variant, that will then need hospitalization, and some will die. If they had gotten the vaccine, it wouldn't have happened. That is entirely their own fault, at this point.
I don't see why, as a responsible, vaccinated adult, I should have to sacrifice even an ounce of my enjoyment of this summer, to attempt preventing that.

My buddy loved Stephen Colbert’s old show. I explained it was a carefully crafted mock of Bill O’Reilly. You guys freaking out reminded me of my buddy. Cheers It really is so kind that you continue to explain those things us common folks just don't understand. We so appreciate your help. (this is where the eff you emoji goes.) You clearly didn't understand. gopher agrees with you. And you missed their sarcasm.

It's difficult to grasp sarcasm, when you spend all day looking for new ways to be outraged. I can understand that.

It's difficult to spot sarcasm, when the sarcasm sucks.

I went out to dinner last night for the first time in forever at a restaurant with 100% capacity and no social distancing, where neither the patrons nor the wait staff were wearing masks. Our waitress apologized for being extremely hoarse after a long girls weekend.
I haven't been sick in a year and a half, and now we are back to people coming into work sick and breathing on the food. It's the old normal, and I found that for me personally, I really do not like it.

For anyone that thinks this is over: Two people are dead and four of their coworkers were hospitalized after a Covid-19 outbreak swept through a government building in Manatee County, Florida. The outbreak began in the IT department, according to Manatee County Administrator Scott Hopes, who is also an epidemiologist. Another person who worked on the same floor but in a different department also tested positive for coronavirus last week. Of the six people infected, five were hospitalized. One employee who was in the hospital died and another employee who was not hospitalized also died, Hopes told CNN's Erin Burnett. The only exposed employee in the IT office who was vaccinated did not get infected, Hopes said. "The clinical presentation gives me concern that we're dealing with a very infectious variant that is quite deadly," Hopes told Burnett. The government building was closed on Friday as a precaution. It reopened Monday but officials didn't implement a mask requirement, instead keeping them optional. Hopes said he's encouraging workers who aren't vaccinated to wear a mask and the county is making them available to employees and visitors. "Clearly masks work, but the vaccine is more important at this point," Hopes said.

The vaccine is MORE important, but not AS important as protecting yourself from government overreach by refusing the vaccine and verbally assaulting mask wearers. I mean, we have to keep our priorities in order!

Hopefully I misunderstood you. Otherwise, did you really just attempt to minimize and gloss over six infected, 5 hospitalized and 2 dead? That seems same-old same-old to you? Just the seasonal flu?

Our company shut down all non-virtual operations in early March 2020.
Some time later they reopened the factories (with masking and distancing requirements), but the offices have remained closed.
Earlier this year they announced that when offices reopen, there would be masking and distancing requirements.
Then they announced that masking requirements would only be indoor.
Now (before ever generally re-opening), they have announced that masking requirements will be dropped indoor for any employees who register with the company that they have been vaccinated for COVID-19. No word on distancing requirements yet.

Well, it should go back to normal, once things really are back to normal. Maybe that's summer 2022, I don't know.
Distancing and masking especially, really take away the enjoyment of the social experience. Seeing people, interacting with people. Yeah I get it some of you super introverts were in heaven. Too bad.
