What's this about 50% of Israeli Delta infections being fully vaccinated? That can't be right. Or it's like 4 people?

So I have not been yet able to source original report from Israel - the questions I have are many however the news reports do seem concerning that the delta variant is much more transmissible. I believe they are going back to masking. I do want to ask if this infected what is the rate of serious disease hospitalization and death in vaccinated versus unvaccinated? Also what ages and any other health issues in the vaccinated that have contracted the delta variant? I have been consistently sobered by the ability of this virus to promote itself

Think I’ve read the Israeli CDC say the vaccine is preventing hospitalization among the vaccinated infected with the Delta variant. Would like to know if they can spread it.

Also read that Indian doctors said this Delta variant has already mutated.

Right that is what has been reported and tbh what would be logical to expect I just am curious about numbers and nuances. For example the logical assumption would be of the fully vaccinated individuals who contracted the delta variants are they older or have conditions or that medication that would weaken their immune response? We have seen that here in Washington but the delta variant isn’t yet the predominant strain

UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock was caught kissing one of his aides in a photo from early May. Not only are there allegations that he is having an affair with her, but also this is a violation of the COVID social distancing rules that he was in charge of putting into place.
(He was one of the people in the UK government who had a positive COVID test around the time that Boris Johnson was in the hospital with COVID.)
There is a lot of talk in the UK right now about one set of COVID lockdown and travel ban laws for ordinary people, and a completely different set of rules for government officials and well-connected people.

Non political question.
Anyone that is up to date on vaccines and variants - do you think people who took the J&J vaccine should be getting a 'booster' shot from Mederna/Pfizer? I know it is illegal in the US - but there seems to be evidence that the J&J is leaving those people 'exposed' and preliminary studies that a booster would help.
Secondary question - do you think they will eventually advise to take a booster in the future for the J&J people?

J&j news release just recently on their vaccine shows effectiveness against variants of concern and protection persists through 8 months. As for boosters that jury is still out we don’t have the data yet. However with a large percentage of people still unvaccinated the chances of strain mutation is great since this is globally spread. So that is why many experts believe that it will be the case that at some point boosters will be needed

Yes, #3 is the the huge problem. If the unvaccinated people keep providing themselves as a safe reservoir for the virus to keep mutating in, it will eventually change its lockpicks enough that it will be able to pick the locks of the vaccinated people.
