Most teams only have 3 middle blockers. So I don't see it being a big deal for any MB's to find a team. Teams that could still sign OH/OPP players: (Might be a good fit for the team) Eczacibasi (CH.L) could add an OH (Rabadzhieva) Fenerbahce (CH.L) could add an OH (Robinson) Galatasary (CevCup) could add an OH/OPP/MB (Dixon and DelaCruz) Perugia could add an OPP (Bjelica) Firenze could add an OH (Plummer) Cuneo could add an OH (Lee) Busto Arsizio (CH.L) could add an OPP (Drews) Schwerin could add an OPP. (Lippmann) Chemik Police (CH.L) could add an OH. Budolani Lodz could add an OPP. In truth any team can pick up any player as long as they have the budget to hire them. Plum has no desire to go back to Italy. Didn't enjoy it. That's unfortunate. I think it's reasonable to say playing against the best competition makes you better. If she wants to stay in lower level leagues for her career, that lowers my hopes for her with the national team.

Plum has no desire to go back to Italy. Didn't enjoy it. Really?! What happened? Besides COVID.... Not going to elaborate because of the source. Just didn't enjoy it. Italy would be the last resort this year.

Her not liking her stay was probably due to the SAB Legnano financial %*$#storm. Not so sure about her experience with Pomi.

"According to our source, the decision was not made due to the situation with coronavirus." So this is a blatant attempt to screw over volleyball players who will challenge China for gold in Tokyo? Pretty much. So any update on the players complaining to the FIVB on this? It does set a pretty bad precedent for the Chinese League. No foreigner will now want to join the league knowing their contracts will be shredded at a moment's notice without prior warning. Unless the Chinese league wants to shut out foreign players from now on, its going to be pretty hard for them to attract high caliber foreign players in the future. They will not have confidence that their contracts will be honored. The Chinese clubs know this, that's why they are protesting this move. The question is, will the Chinese league administration listen?

Other sports (soccer, football, basketball, etc.) have allowed foreign athletes to go to China this season. Doesn't take a genius to realize what China is doing here.

The Chinese league bosses may think this will help the NT. But I don't see how that helps the Chinese NT for Tokyo. The Japanese League is taking the opposite approach, incorporating foreign players to boost the competitiveness of their NT. And without foreign players to play against, its hard to gauge just how well you measure against foreign opponents. Playing against domestic opponents does not really provide you with the level of competition to improve yourself. The league may think shutting out foreign players will help them keep their NT's strategies and tactics a secret. But any benefit of that will be outweigh by the cost of not being able to compete against better opponents overseas. Not to mention the long-term reputation and credibility of the league. Which foreign player will want to sign with that league now? And the lack of high caliber foreign players will make the overall competitive level of the league stagnate or even be reduced vs other leagues.

Such a terrible decision if this turns out to be true.
