Article on 2020 Signees I will take it as a good sign for now that they posted any news about this upcoming season. 9 players in article: Annie Cornay, Alayna Crabtree, Bridget Green, Katrina Jensen, Katarina Kaburov, Sophia Lambros, Peyton Minyard, Anna Murphy, Grace Penn. This puts the roster at 19. What happened with Britt Gronemeyer? Rich Kern and Sunshine VBC have her committed to BC.

I am studying my masters in Scotland right now and referee/play BUCS league and there are no teams even close to the level of a D3 college team. Their women's national team would be lucky to get 10 points on a mid-tier D3 team, it is not good.

A tough decision for her and her family, but ultimately in her best long-term health interest.

So Martin Jarmond is leaving BC for UCLA. He was getting good reviews for his time there so it makes sense a big time athletics school was going to scoop him up. Wonder what Jason Kennedy thinks of this? Does this speed up his next move?
Unfortunately these days you have to look at everything through the COVID-19 filter. Not exactly the easiest time to be changing jobs unless you are pretty sure the grass is very greener on the other side. Bad sign for BC athletics in the new normal?

By Athletic Communications | April 23, 2020 CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College volleyball coach Jason Kennedy officially announced the signing of nine student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent to join the Eagles in 2020. "This 2020 recruiting class addresses many of our needs and helps us advance the program in a positive direction to better compete with the top half of the ACC," stated Kennedy, who is entering his third season at the helm of the program. "With two liberos, two setters and five attackers, we really have upgraded the competition for playing time at all these positions." The Eagles went 20-12 last season, including a program-best 11-7 ACC record. BC played in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship at the end of 2019; the first postseason match in program history. bceagles.com/news/2020/4/23/volleyball-picks-up-nine-signees-for-2020.aspx

I’ve heard great things about it aside from athletics.

And sometimes college decisions are about more than athletics. Heaven forbid we consider that.

Regarding the three recruits you mentioned -
Jenna Pollack - Member of the Canadian National Youth team.
Nikki Steinhauser - Named #36 player in the country by Prep Dig.
Anna Herrington - One of 20 to make the USAV Women's Junior National Training team. Other members of that squad include Jess Mruzik, Cami Miner, Ally Bentenhorst, etc. Strong company.
Just making the point that Boston College is bringing in talent.

I should also mention there is already a PrepVolley Senior Ace on campus in Gabby McCaa and another one coming this Fall with Sophie Lambros. Yes, I get it that you don't have to be on some publication list or All Star team to be a great player and contribute, but it's still a great indication that Coach Kennedy is bringing in players with elite potential.
