Kennedy Recognized by Volleyball Magazine CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College volleyball head coach Jason Kennedy has been recognized as an Under 40 Coaching Hotshot by VolleyballMag.com, as announced by the publication on Monday. The list recognizes up-and-coming NCAA Division I women's, Division I-II men's and beach volleyball coaches across the country. In just his second season at the helm of the Eagles' program, Kennedy led the team to its first-ever postseason bid with an invitation to the 2019 National Invitational Volleyball Championship. The Eagles finished the season with 20 overall wins to match its program-best finish: a feat that hadn't been accomplished in the ACC era at Boston College. The team stormed out to a 5-0 start in conference play for the first time en route to the most-ever league wins in program history. bceagles.com/news/2020/1/7/kennedy-recognized-by-volleyball-magazine.aspx

A BC thread on Volleytalk, has that day really arrived? I would like to think so, but having been disappointed by BC athletics for many decades has me leery.

Are they projected to be the top team in New England?

Are they projected to be the top team in New England? They better be or it will be a long, long season in the ACC. Looking at the spring roster the only player with remaining eligibility that is not listed is Madison McKnight. Is she in the portal? So they will be completely reinventing the setter position after last year's 6-2.

Are they projected to be the top team in New England? That's not a tough bar to clear. Look like Brown was second best this past season with a Pablo north of 200.

I think you missed Northeastern, UConn, Fairfield, and Sacred Heart, all of whom are between Brown and Boston College. (I think it's weird -- sometimes -- that upstate New York and New Jersey aren't part of New England, but I get it. Then there'd be a lot more.)
