NCAA hasn’t said anything. But if campuses are closed, there will be no training, and no one on campus. Now way you can have a few hundred athletes on campus, all together, and not expect a chance of an outbreak. Look above ☝️. Sports at every level are in trouble. They could bring them back in August as the dust settles on all this

Look above ☝️. Sports at every level are in trouble. They could bring them back in August as the dust settles on all this And whoever said the athletes won't be in good shape a few posts back isn't keeping in mind how driven they are ...

Pitt is online as well. IDK if training is prohibited by NCAA or anything yet. NCAA hasn’t said anything. But if campuses are closed, there will be no training, and no one on campus. Now way you can have a few hundred athletes on campus, all together, and not expect a chance of an outbreak. Already hearing rumors about football staffs talking about paycuts and layoff since there won't be summer training.

Oh my - this is (was) so hilarious. I just watched the Bruce Jenner Wheaties commercial that I assume inspired this parody.

If NCAA football seasoned is shortened because of the lack of summer practice many athletic departments will be in serious trouble as football is the cash cow they rely on to fund everything else.

Bingo. 60 days minimum for football to prepare is needed. I saw a suggestion to eliminate non conference games and go directly into B1G play....and starting season later for football. This may have to be an option.

This new poll #2 expires on April 7, 2020, which is coincidentally my birthday. It is also the exact same birthday (month, day, year) as Russell Crowe's. After poll #2 expires, I will summarize it in the first post and then create poll #3. Capiche?

Rutgers shut down all classes and activities (camps) until August 14.
“The university will release more information soon about fall orientation and preseason athletic practices.”
That will be interesting.

“ So Pro Football has conditions ....trickle this down
"As long as we're still in a place where when a single individual tests positive for the virus that you have to quarantine every single person who was in contact with them in any shape, form or fashion, then I don't think you can begin to think about reopening a team sport," Sills told NFL.com. "Because we're going to have positive cases for a very long time."
They may still be quarantining based on exposure to people who have treated positive in some places, but in many areas of the US that’s not what is happening. Once they hit a sizable number of cases, some counties have moved away from that and describe it as a move to mitigation instead of containment. They consciously decided not to spend resources tracing down every contact a person with the virus had in the previous 10 days or so.
