If we had had the Olympics I doubt Sander and Jaeske would have been in top form.

The Olympics being postponed was the best thing to happen for both Taylor Sander and Team USA. Hopefully both he and Thomas Jaeschke can return to peak form. TJ Defalco is the future of Team USA, but he or Muagututia would’ve had big shoes to fill had we had the Olympics this summer.

Skra is starting to play. Sander is not in these first few matches... the comments are in polish but they basically speculate that the team does not want to risk injury. According to Skra Sander is not ready to play yet and is in the process of rebuilding his muscle to support injured arm

Update: Chinese volleyball authorities are reported to have decided to not allow foreigners in the upcoming season, in effect forcing clubs to breach their contracts with players, including Anderson, Larson, Robinson, Dixon, Lippman. This move makes not much of a sense considering China’s basketball and football seasons went along with foreigners (even women’s football/soccer). Considering how many American volleyball players will be affected, wonder if this is due to something else.

So now back to ... where will Anderson play in 2020-21? I don't think any of those men are worried about hooking up with a team. It will be interesting to see where they land Matt Anderson Uros Kovacevic Saeid Marouf Tine Urnaut Top tier players

One thing I can see happening is that some of them go to Russian clubs on Champions League only contracts.
Matt Anderson did that with Kazan a few years ago (2015), and I think Dave Lee did it about two years prior.

So China decided to retain foreign players. They will play a shortened season in an “NBA-style bubble.”

I thought Anderson coming back to play for Modena in the latter half of the season was always the plan for Modena. This way they won’t need ( or have) the money to spend on him, and assuming Modena don’t get eliminated in the group stage of Champions League or drop to bottom of the domestic league, they can still make a final run in the second half season to secure their spot in the next seasons CEV competitions.

Tanner Syfestad to Pafiakos Paphos, Cyprus. Glad to hear he's still playing internationally. Solid player in college.
