Anyone watched the German super cup yesterday? Berlin swept Frankfurt 3-0 to win the title, again. Patch didn’t play, Cody Kessel played at opposite. Kyle Dagostino was a sub for a Japanese Libero, no good for him.

Does anyone know what Julian Moses is doing in Germany? He was at the super cup game, watching. Is he playing in Germany this season?

I heard Patch has a minor injury and was not in the lineup. Their other opposite, Moraes, did not even dress out. Kessel played on the right at Princeton and fulfilled that role on Sunday. He hit .300 and scored 11 points on 9 kills and two blocks. He committed two errors and was blocked once. The French duo of Tuia and Carle led things on the left with 10 and 18 points respectively. Tuia scored all of his points in attack and hit .333. Carle scored on 15 kills, one block, two aces, and hit .440. Eder Carbonera made his German debut after playing almost his entire career in Brazil (save for a season with Trentino in 2018). The Brazilian middle blocker scored 9 points. While he finished with four kills and only hit .205, he produced three blocks, and tied a match-high of two aces. Anton Brehme made his return to Berlin after a season in Luneburg (well he played a few seasons at VCO Berlin before that, but that is nowhere near the same caliber). The 21 year-old scored 10 points on a match-high four blocks and six kills. He also hit .500 on the night. Sergey Grankin continues to shine with Berlin. He admitted that the German Bundesliga is a blast to play in while the quality is not quite up to that of the Russian Super League. The Olympic gold medalist set Berlin to a .366 hitting percentage.
Kyle Dagostino only played in the third set of the match and did not receive any serves. The starting libero, Satoshi Tsuicki, only registered 39% positive receptions, the lowest total on his team. I would hope that might leave the door open for Dagostino. Malescha led Frankfurt with 17 on 17 kills and hit .375. He had a tough time staying in the lineup at Friedrichshafen last year as Gjorgev eclipsed him. Gjorgev went to Turkey and Malescha to Frankfurt. It was a good pickup for Frankfurt, but I tend to think that Berlin will be pretty far ahead of the rest of the league.

Does anyone know what Julian Moses is doing in Germany? He was at the super cup game, watching. Is he playing in Germany this season? I have no idea. He is not on any German Bundesliga 1 or German Bundesliga 2 roster. I know he got hurt in Spain last year and had surgery. With the Covid shutdown, I don't think he ever got back on the court after that.

The Chinese season will begin mid-December after the women’s season ends. Same format, same arrangement. Everything will be done within one month. Anderson is still at home, but his supposed-to-be teammate Tine Urnaut won’t make it. China won’t give Urnaut a work visa.

I had read that while he is negative for COVID-19, has blood has the antibodies, and that is why they will not give him a work VISA.
