PV rankings for the future recruiting classes:
2021: #54- Riley Simpson (OH) #82- Faye Wilbricht (OH) #99- Kaitlyn Riley (MB) #100- Elise McGhee (RS) #129- Lauren Briseno (L/DS)
2022: #4- Averi Carlson (S) #5- Alexis Dacosta (OH) #32- Allie Sczech (RS) #93- Sophia Keene (OH)
Both classes are going to add depth to the bench that Baylor hasn’t had before. They’ve had a consistent starting lineup the past few seasons, but no one that could come off the bench and provide a spark. It’ll be exciting to see how these recruits continue to improve and where they’ll be utilized once they enter college. If Carlson and Dacosta can hold their rankings as seniors, they’ll both pass Kara McGhee, who was #6, as the highest ranked recruits.

The Baylor staff is definitely putting the work to recruit better and better athletes. Baylor did very well with talent that hasn’t never been rated that high, so I can only imagine the success they will have as they develop players who are a bit better. Replacing Pressley after the upcoming season will be impossible though so the offense will need to be more balanced. Anyways, congrats to Baylor for the strong recruiting!

Anyone notice how Pressley and Sedwick aren't in the pictures from practice? You'd think they'd be highlighted. Were they even there?

So with the incoming transfer of Preslie Anderson, I am curious what is the MB position looking like??
McGuire transferred in some pretty efficient offensive players, but not superb blockers. Preslie and Parise both averaged around .8-.9 b/set, while Harper averaged around 1.3, but I would argue in a weaker conference? But more so from what they're bringing to the table, who is going to start over the other? I would argue Preslie has the best incoming experience playing in the PAC12, but Harper and Parise have some impressive stats to not bluff over either.
Also, all of them are listed as seniors. Harper already has had a redshirt year, I don't know why Parise is listed as a senior but who knows, and Preslie has one more season in her. With McGee being a lock in my opinion given her performance last season, which of the three win out? Do you redshirt one of them to fill in for one of their departures next season?
I've also seen an idea popping around on the transfer thread of running a 6-2? I honestly have a hard time with it on a few notes. If passing isn't our strong suit, what's the point and would we really gain anything? With Sedwick being a first team AA, do you really take her out? She's not small, she is a decent blocker as well as 2nd contact attacker. With that being said, she has found really tough struggles last year that took the bears out completely! Do you propose situational double subs, similar to international vball? I haven't seen that done much collegiately but could McGuire be taking a note?
Very interesting, but ultimately Baylor is really looking scary again this season.

How she is ranked currently and how she is ranked on the senior aces will be two totally different things. I would bet money on that. She's still a great player but there are a few outsides that will pass her up.

Dealing with facts, her PrepVollyeball ranking is #5 for the class of 2022, and that is what houstonbear15 used when he posted his recruit ranking for Dacosta.

There is zero input from collegiate coaches. Here is an "opinion" for you, that I will take to the bank. There isn't a single top 10 coach who would offer Dacosta a scholarship at OH over the following players currently ranked lower than Dacosta by Prep Volleyball in her position: Kahahawai Trump Wrobel Rubin Hendrickson Leverette Colyer Bower Rhodes Olson

In fairness, the PV rankings are just opinions too. Nothing objective about them. Orie Agbaji was the #4 senior ace!

I honestly don't know what you started disputing when you quoted houstonbear's post about Dacosta's ranking. As far as I could tell, no one was referencing future Senior Ace rankings (since they aren't published yet) until your reply. He was using their current PV ranking, and did so accurately.
