D3 is allowed 22 dates. So 50% is 11, which also happens to be the new minimum. Not sure it works out so tidy for all sports but it makes it pretty simple for us.

So if you play exactly 11 matches, you'd be eligible for the NCAA tournament AND not use a season of eligibility for any of your athletes?

What a convoluted headline. Using the word "decided" implies, you know, a DECISION has been made. But they follow that up with 'most likely'?

CIAA has suspended all fall sports, but is leaving the door open to moving them to the Spring 2021 season.

Except football can play before that? That’s an interesting move. Olympic sport athletes should be pissed.

Will students traveling to and from hotspots be exempted from quarantine despite being neither essential nor workers?

Except football can play before that? That’s an interesting move. Olympic sport athletes should be pissed. It’s mind boggling. They are simultaneously saying “we don’t think it’s wise or safe for our athletes to compete until sept 10 BUT “the sport that has the most players on the field, the most direct contact can play sooner”. Would someone please explain that to me?

Can someone educate me here? Why hasn't the NCAA stepped up with CDC-like COVID guidelines that all conferences and universities need to meet before play can resume in the fall?
My daughter's university has definite plans for the general student body, but the athletic department has been frustratingly vague in regards to fall sports. Her head coach has been virtually silent on the matter, deferring to the athletic department's (lack of) messaging. Practices are starting in August, but, as a parent, I'm starting to panic about the prospect of my daughter walking into a COVID cluster-F.
