Not a surprise with over 50% cancelled. Do we know the % for DII? Fairly sure they are over 50% as well. They are likely going the same direction of DIII.

the Division II championships committee meeting minutes from last week said they were really going to try to hold the fall tournaments in the spring, but noted that the costs for doing so would be about double a normal fall.

Not a surprise with over 50% cancelled. I think it's worth pointing out that they are CANCELLED, not postponed. A move to the spring might not be an option.

That is 56.5% to 43.5%. Things may have changed, but not that I am aware. I think D2 President Council is voting today, just like D3 did. Cancelled or postponed Fall sports: CCAA (Defending National Champs Here) SIAC CIAA ECC CACC SSC (Powerhouses Tampa, PBA, Barry, etc) NE10 PSAC (Home of Gannon) PacWest GNAC

Admittedly, I wasn’t absolutely sure, but with so many conferences already making the call, I knew it was somewhat close.

Mountain East didn't actually cancel the fall but were planning to play int he spring.

If DI drops their championship this season, will there be anyone here to listen?

Mountain East vb coach confirmed to me they were/are planning to play Fall. mountaineast.org/news/2020/7/21/general-mec-announces-update-for-fall-athletics.aspxNot sure how I missed GLVC - maybe got them confused with GLIAC. Thanks for the correction.

www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/board-directs-each-division-safeguard-student-athlete-well-being-scholarships-and-eligibility"-If 50% or more of eligible teams in a particular sport in a division cancel their fall season, there will be no fall NCAA championship in that sport in that division. -If fall sports championships are postponed in any division, a decision to conduct that championship at a later date will be based upon the scientific data available at that time regarding COVID-19, along with other considerations." So that seems safe that D3 is canceled for the fall. 13 Conferences in D2 have canceled for the fall, so without counting teams it would seem there won't be a D2 tournament. D1 I'm counting about 1/4 have canceled at this point. AE, A10, Big West, Ivy, MAAC, MEAC, NEC, 7/9 Patriot, SWAC and most of the CAA, but not enough to tank the tournament. The Atlantic 10 has not officially scrapped the fall season.

Thanks for the correction. Yup, I found the website for the D3 Heartland Conference. That was a mistake. Mountain East in the press release you are quoting says they are playing in the fall and spring - which would suggest they won't have an AQ for a fall NCAA championship, no? Eitherway, at this point the D2 tournament has been buried.
