Who are the nationally prominent, powerhouse vb programs at the middle school level? The North Texas Region is full of 14u/2026 talent for sure.. The Frisco Flyers 14u team has won nationals twice already (11u, 13u). Madfrog’s 14u team is also one of the best among the nation- crazy talented girls!!

What time on the 15th can coaches start calling players 12:01 am technically. There will be a handful that do, but the majority won't call at midnight.

I have a feeling there has already been a silent commitment for many. They just announce on the 15th.

I have a feeling there has already been a silent commitment for many. They just announce on the 15th. I highly doubt this. Girls will certainly have their leanings, but until they’re able to speak directly with coaches and fully understand the vision, opportunity, and competition, I can’t imagine a good player being locked in. The idea that there are all sorts of back room deals being made in advance of June 15th just does not ring true.

Honestly, I think the whole thing is a bit exageratted. Most of the no brainer recruits have had coaches relay communication back and forth. Others can tell by the continued presence of the coaches, seated right behind them serving at most of the major qualifiers.

I would say the top recruits all know who is calling them and know which handful of schools they are interested in, but no one is locked in anywhere yet. Every 2024 I know wants to have conversations first before making any decisions. The lists are small, but nothing is set in stone.

I agree, the lists are pretty small. And I feel like some kids put all they eggs in the June 15th basket and then are disappointed when this is just the beginning of the recruitment. It’s a process, not a deadline.

You don't think these conversations are being had through recruiting coordinators, coaches or even at the "elite" camps?

You don't think these conversations are being had through recruiting coordinators, coaches or even at the "elite" camps? As the recruiting coordinator at an elite club, my answer is: we know who is likely to be calling, we talk with the athletes about the pecking order of how they want to handle things on June 15th, but NONE of my kids (and we have had back-to-back years of teams with Top 25 talent since the new rules kicked in) had made a decision prior to conversations with coaches and all waited to make anything official until after they visited, either through camp or on their own. Now, we do handle the process a bit differently than other clubs, as our kids generally do not HAVE to have a scholarship to attend college and, therefore, aren't going to make a decision that isn't good for their long-term life plans and education (it's why you generally don't see our kids committing to schools that aren't in the upper-echelon of academics either). I wish more clubs and Recruiting Coordinators took that stance, as I think we would have far fewer transfers and happier kids overall if there was less pressure right out of the gates and they weren't just taking the first offer that came along, but I know that is a pipe dream and I will continue to enjoy working with athletes/families that approach this process holistically and stay in my lane.

Who are the nationally prominent, powerhouse vb programs at the middle school level? Probably wherever those kids from Mintonette 14-1 went to middle school. That team is full of hammers this year.
