Hawai'i is going overseas to recruit some of the top recruits, bypassing the USA for the most part. That’s not true they are going after top American players in this class as well as from Puerto Rico. Top recruits become All Americans at Hawaii (for the most part) instead of getting lost behind a curtain.

Arthur is Canadian/Brazilian and has been playing OH for the past 2 years in Canada. He was part of the Brazilian national development program over the last year.

I believe that Josh can look wherever he wants in schools, but the true question is what schools are looking at him. After having a huge let down of a season I’m not sure what programs want a hot headed mediocre at best outside. Josh Ewert definitely has schools looking at him. His team wasn’t the best this season forsure but his team did beat both B2B (top team with 2 boys youth national team players) and MVVC (3rd place finish at BJNC last year), so his team didn’t so terrible. I believe PacRim 17-1s is still ranked pretty high on AES and still have a good core. I don’t know much about Josh or his relationship with his teammates but I would not consider him “hot headed”, he can definetly get into his own head but after seeing how he preformed against SCVC 17-1s last year at BJNC and being a core reason why they handed SCVC there one lose... he definitely is a contested prospect in his class. He has been playing up his whole life and been performing well.... maybe not at SCVA recently but still i would not consider him a... medicore hot headed outside

Also, I don’t know what class your talking about but Josh wouldn’t be the top outside in the class of 2024 Josh has definitely lost his top spot at outside that he did have, being the one freshman on volleyball mags 25 underclassmen to watch a year ago.. but yeah he has been surpassed forsure with the likes of Jordan Lucas, Dillion Klein, and Theo Snoey... but he has been on A1 basically all his life, and been invited to the Holiday Camp as well.. He is most definitely a top outside in his class regardless. His team has some weakpoints from what I saw at SCVA, especially their MB2 position and their rotations were a bit odd as another top hitter pin hitter in that class, Ben Blakely had to move into the middle. That team didn’t do well because they were missing pieces but... their two outside hitters (Blakely and Ewert) are extremely good. But I am curious why you believe Ewert isn’t one of the top of his class?

If Im not mistaken he's barely 17 years old still.
