flamingpheonix1, did you spell the "pheonix" part of your name incorrectly? Or was it deliberate? (The correct spelling is "phoenix.")

I guess they couldn't find a fifth Cole, so they settled for a Coleman.

Ryan Peluso (352) - Long Beach State So both pins from last years 17s are committed to the Beach? Excellent. And, he's a great kid.

I've never heard of this kid in my life. Anyone know anything about him? Height? Highlights? Played OH for MVVC Red (-1s) in 16s last year, so look for MVVC 16 Red videos from the '19 Holiday Classic, '20 JBI or NorCal championships. I'm sure he played the same for 15s, and *think* he was on the 14s, but I'd have to check video to be sure, if you want to go back further. Eyeball test says he's 6'2"-ish (in socks) as of last January, and has great hops, but no clue what he's listed at. Hits for power, has very good location/control as well. Excellent D/ball control. I'd put him in the top 5 for power last year, though I'd be hard pressed to actually rank that top 5. Inarguably the player you noticed the most playing MVVC as 15s or 16s (Hersh, their #1 MB, was a very close 2nd for me in 16s, my son thought the lib was).

Thank you for the quick background check; still doesn't ring any bells. He sounds like an average player. I think there is a huge skill gap in 2022. There are like 4 really good players and thats it. Most of these commits are average. I dont think we are watching the same 16s division then. There are many great players in the class of 2022

At BJNC in 2022 the quality of play in that 18s division should be much higher, especially with teams like OCVC and MB Surf who have some great players that are currently playing with 2021.

Correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn’t a class of 2022 be playing 17s? And a class of 2021 playing 18s?

I believe the class of 2022 has a lot of "sleepers" so to speak. SPVB has a very good setter and libero and I am excited to see where they will hopefully commit in the coming year. I also am curious where some of the Bay to Bay 17's will go. They are a good team and were hot near the last tourney.
