Taylor Sander is injured in Poland. Ice bag on his ankle. Both OH's are injured and OPP hasn't played volleyball for more than 1 year. Hopefully just a sprain. Plenty of time to heal a sprain before Tokyo but would be nice to see him gelling with team in VNL

Maybe no relegation this year, not sure. I thought I heard that as well.

What's wrong with Taylor? Rolled an ankle against ZAKSA. Ended his season at Skra and he should be out 3 weeks or so.

The US needs Sander healthy. He was the best passer in Rio. He also is known for going on strong service runs and is a strong blocker. Here's hoping for a quick recovery and healthy VNL.

Lube takes a 2-1 lead in Finals with dominating 3-0 win today
Sir Safety Conad Perugia - Cucine Lube 0-3 (20-25, 18-25, 14-25) - Sir Safety Conad Perugia: Travica 0, Leon Venero 12, Russo 3, Atanasijevic 12, Plotnytskyi 8, Solé 4, Biglino (L), Colaci (L), Ter Horst 0, Ricci 0, Vernon-Evans 0. NE Zimmermann, Muzaj, Piccinelli. Herds Fontana. Cucine Lube Civitanova: De Cecco 1, Juantorena 10, Simon 9, Rychlicki 8, Leal 15, Anzani 6, Larizza (L), Balaso (L), Hadrava 0, Kovar 0. NE Yant Herrera, Diamantini, Falaschi, Marchisio. Herds Blengini. REFEREES: Rapisarda, Lot. NOTES - set duration: 25 ', 29', 27 '; tot: 81 ′.
Clear victory of Cucine Lube Civitanova in Game 3 of the Final Play Off. Blengini's team dictates the law at PalaBarton by defeating Sir Safety Conad Perugia in three sets in a match always led by the guests from the very beginning. The numbers highlight the performance of Civitanova who attacks with 61% of the team, beats at a thousand per hour (7 aces), blocks better (5 direct points in the fundamental) and above all makes no mistakes (just 13 direct errors of which 11 at the service). Quite the opposite in the half of Fontana's team. Leaving aside the various percentages, the balance of errors in the serve / ace (12 misses, one direct point), the zero in the box of the winning blocks and above all the 26 free errors in three sets weigh negatively, always and especially against an opponent like Lube. Leal is the MVP of the match. The Caribbean is devastating in attack (71%) and in service (3 aces) and ends with 15 points on the scoresheet. Double figures at Lube also for Juantorena, 9 for Simon with 78% under the net. At home Sir 12 each for Atanasijevic and Leon, the best is Plotnytskyi who puts 8 with 80% in attack. Race 4 in Civitanova on Saturday. Lube plays to end the Scudetto speech, Sir to keep the race for the flag alive.
MVP: Leal
Aleksandar Atanasijevic (Sir Safety Conad Perugia): “I think they were very good at putting us in difficulty. They beat very well and held up well when the service came to us. The Play Offs are these, there is victory and there is defeat. Now we have to recharge and think about Saturday, we will have to give everything because there is no tomorrow ”.
Yoandy Leal (Cucine Lube Civitanova): “We are happy to be able to enter the field with a different mentality than in game 2. We played a very high level volleyball. Now we have to rest, get back on the pitch on Saturday and try to repeat ourselves to close the series and avoid the fifth game. We wanted to redeem the mistakes of the last match and we interpreted the match well and in the next match we will have to do the same ”.
Race 1 result Sir Safety Conad Perugia - Cucine Lube Civitanova 1-3 (23-25, 25-22, 20-25, 20-25) Race result 2 Cucine Lube Civitanova - Sir Safety Conad Perugia 2-3 (25-21, 21-25, 25-27, 25-23, 12-15)
