Saying that because Li does X, the entire team will do X, is bad logic (absent more evidence). I’m not saying the whole team will. Just that someone saying they are expecting China might do something like that aren’t wrong because the player who does it plays for China. A hockey team doesn’t stock a roster with fighters and chippy players, but if they want that skill as part of their strategy arsenal they sign a Bob Probert or Daniel “car bomb” Carcillo (I’m a Blackhawk fan).

In case anybody on this thread is still actually interested in the league (I'll admit my interest has waned drastically), there is a rumor that Gong Xiangyu might go back to her original position as setter for game 3 of the finals.

I had no idea she was originally a setter. I guess you learn something new every time you log in to VT!

Whaaat. I mean, the team basically collapsed when the backup came in. How interesting! I hope they’re able to rally and make it competitive at least.

Gong is playing setter now. If they can win at least one set, there is no doubt which team is the better one this season

She was genuinely concerned about her NT teammate, I don't think there was any foul play. Yao Di bump set that ball fast and kind of close to the net. Similar situation to Tandara when she landed on Duan Fang's (Liaoning) foot. Another player who had a few run in's with her foot crossing the line. It wasn't on purpose, it was an accident. She was crying the whole time she visited Tandara at the hospital. If I'm not mistaken Lang Ping spoke about this situation saying that clubs need to put more emphasis on safety and that they need to correct a players form early on. How do I know she’s geniune? This type of chick is the scariest. She did it and then played the victim. Not really hard to find this type in life

I’m no analyst, but I don’t think Jiangsu lost that set because of bad setting. Zhu Ting and Li YY were unstoppable. At least the Jiangsu players seem in good spirits.

That being said, as I said, if Jiangsu is so fragile that they can't tolerate any injuries without the whole team falling apart, they aren't worthy of being champions.

But if you are a worthy coach you gotta find a way to manage that and turn the team around.
