Eligibility will only be an issue for those who have redshirted previously , and even then, I imagine the NCAA will do a blanket waiver. Unless Spring actually happens

Indeed. And I know Wisconsin are the most frequently cited here but Nebraska, Utah, Kentucky and others are all in the same situation. I'm sure that eligibility will be protected but the scholarship issues will be harder to solve. Yeah. If I am a '21 recruit for those schools, I would be looking around at options. If I am a '22 recruit who is committed to any school, I am assessing the situation. I know Wisconsin best. I just don't know how you manage talented players who can play elsewhere. If I am Jade Demps, Lauren Jardine, Ella Wrobel or even the international recruits, I am wondering how long I would have to be there before the logjam clears and I could actually play. You are basically signing up for 5 years at this point. And, if you're OK with that...go ahead. This will be so much easier for some to manage than others. Big graduating classes + big '21 classes = Hard decisions. Glad I don't have to make them. I completely agree with you 100% My point was more of the whining babies that want to sue for everything, to get their way, even when other's are at risk! 28-) BIDEN/HARRIS-2;)

Someone is about to get a timeout from the site LordVader: WHY? Because I'm letting people know my choice. I'm not discussing it or bashing anyone on the other side of aisle. So ban me for this...... I don't think my post breaks the No Politics Policy.

I just assumed all political comments were banned. I didn't actually read the policy, as I don't bring that up (or try not to)

There is a place for letting VT know your choice and it does not belong here in a VB thread, misunderstood.

So I just do not see a lot of players wanting to stay til the fall of 21 if they cancel spring VB. It is kind of like the 2020 HS class. Time to move along IMHO.

Rambling non-answer by the Big Ten commissioner when pressed about the Nebraska football coach saying they could play elsewhere this fall. Commish is all like ![](https://media.tenor.com/images/1963e202634dc9a1ef147ffc83fa7c17/tenor.gif)

I do not see NE doing anything unless the likes of tOSU, UM, and PSU also are looking at options.

Yes the news is extremely sad but to those who are going to start drinking a beer or two or three etc., I would also like to add that any Bud is like tasting a tin can. Althought I quit drinking many many many years ago, my choice was Schiltz, Schimdt or Old Miwaukee with a Coors here and there. Should I decide to start again with this awful volleyball news, it certainly WOULD NOT BE BUD. If interested, here is a link to a list of the most popular way back in my drinking days. www.realbeer.com/edu/fathersday/fathersbeer.php

The PAC will follow, as will the ACC --- SEC is going to force a zero negligence contract, and they'll play -- the 100K weekend fans continuing to spread COVID. Sure selfishness and ignorance. NCAA will file an injunction to waive cause from SEC. Rattke will not go pro in 2021, she promised to play more year, regardless if Tokyo happens or not, if she's on US roster or not, she plans one last shot to bring Sheffield a Natty in '21. She will not pay with Wisconsin should a spring "season" happen (highly unlikely), she'll be in Anaheim training with NT and taking online courses. Expanding on this, Sheffield is confident that all his seniors will return next fall if season is cancelled, but it will depend on the scholarship situation. That could be the impediment. Some of the more Off-the-wall speculation I’ve seen on here....you really need to get the players last name right before laying out her plans for the future;)

That could be a mess if waivers aren't granted to exceed the scholarship limit. I think there ought to be. But, we march into mostly uncharted territory. It'll be a mess either way. Why should the NCAA waive scholarship limits?

I know they might get another year of eligibility, but do they get the extra year of a scholarship? Should a program have a scholarship available (they get 12), there is nothing saying a program can't give it to a 5th year senior/grad student. Happens all the time.
