anyone who has so much time that they can park on this site and reply endlessly to other posts, is not a billionaire. If you can’do that then you inherited it from mommy and daddy. Says the guy with close to 28000 posts... Mommy and daddy leave HH with billions? Guess so... That was funny!!

Minimally, the optics of Frost saying it when he did are awful. It came across as both tone deaf and disloyal. Tone deaf because we are in a pandemic that is claiming a lot of lives, creating unemployment and financial hardship to tens of millions. Disloyal because even if you don’t agree with the overwhelming sentiment of your member institutions, you stand in unity with them. I’m a Nebraska fan and really like Frost but it was a dumb statement that shouldnt have come from a coach, he was for all intents and purposes speaking for the University and while the decision centered around football this is a student safety issue, not footballl. With friends like this... He’s not a friend, and being a fan doesn’t mean you have to agree with everything a program does.

God save me from sanctimonious , self involved people who know what’s best for a college whether it be academically or sports. If you we’re half as brilliant as you think you are you would all be billionaires. Gag! Presidents at some of the greatest universities are most certainly the most qualified to make these decisions or at least as qualified as football coaches with physical education or communications degrees

Liability. The reason for no fall sports Yes, but I suspect another reason played into it. The truth is that most college presidents, administrators and academicians resent the importance of college athletics. The pandemic gives them the opportunity to de-emphasize athletics. They somehow think that by doing so, they will raise the importance of academics and their academic standing. They are wrong. I remember when Bobby Bowden said that it was his football program that made Florida State, Florida State. Until then it was something of a backwater. He wasn't wrong and the administration knew it.

Do you have any evidence to back up that spewage? Yeah. I listen to them. But you're not going to provide any examples of things you've heard or read that have led you to arrive at this conclusion... cool.

But you're not going to provide any examples of things you've heard or read that have led you to arrive at this conclusion... cool. I have an anecdote..... I knew a guy who ran the medical school of a fairly large University in the southern half of the country. At the time the school had a pretty good basketball team. I assumed the guy was happy to focus on the medical school and said something to him along the lines of "at least you don't have to mess with the basketball team". Maybe there had recently been a problem related the team, maybe not, I can't remember. But his response was along the lines of "I'd love to mess with the basketball team!". I was surprised but maybe I shouldn't have been.

Yes....me an Bob Dylan.....we're the inscrutable ones................................. I still don't understand this. Sorry it was obscure. I didn’t think the guy who ran a medical school would want to have a basketball program under his jurisdiction. But apparently he would have. I was referencing a college administrator who didn’t seem to resent big time college athletics.
