But just gotta say, if Nebraska and Wisconsin have the best/biggest 2 fanbases and Hawaii is the next in line, hoping desperately that next year’s squad is more entertaining and brings things back to where they should be. Whatever next year’s team looks like. They put out a product that deserves support.. If Hawaii can get to that level you’d bet there would be 8 k plus at every home match..

Whatever next year’s team looks like. BVS is going to be really hard to replace. If they can get the first contact figured out, however, they have the chance for more upside with the potential size and firepower at the net, although Williams also came on later in the season. Lang really grew as a setter, Igiede has a very high ceiling, and just having the opportunity to train so many young players will help.

Maybe we’re different in assessing FIREPOWER, really the only Wahine returning next year with firepower is Amber… nobody else has show consistent abilities to terminate with authority! Fact!

No, but maybe a year when they can actually train and work with the strength and conditioning folks will help. Leoniak, DeGoede, Demirtas, Johnson, Kiraly, Akana, Johnson, Westerberg, and even Wagoner, who was the only full time starter in that group, all have potential to develop, in my opinion.

Also, as a Husker fan said, size does help in volleyball. Stivrins is a great player, but did you see Smrek hit over her when she got the sets? If things work out, the Wahine could do that to opponents going forward.

For a G5 school, Hawaii is usually pretty big, we are typically one of the bigger teams in the BW, but a lot of the taller players have gotten beat out this year. I was thinking that Westerberg should switch back to Middle if she has hopes of making the Canadian National Team. As long as Smrek exists, she's not getting that OPP spot.

Smrek really did best hitting in front of the setter, though, although she gives a huge block on the right. The Badgers may need to move her to the middle, however, due to roster contstuction. I am not opposed to having Westerberg in the middle, however, given Hawaii's roster construction.

Thirsting for transfers here but Victoria O'Sullivan is a lesser-known OH transfer who would make a splash at Hawaii. Potential beach talent, but may end up staying in CA

Covid was a huge hit for attendance because at the end of the 2019 season, the Stan was becoming packed. I think 2020 would've been a huge year for the program if Covid was not a thing.

I can't wait till 2022 season, looking to see how UH progressed from 2021 to 2022, will be interesting, since UH don't have a terminator going forward, hope to see who will step it up and be that person or persons.By the way besides Matias, who else is coming in 2022?

So is G5 the next level below Power 5? Just wondering. Never heard of that term before - but then again, I'm not that much into the loop when it comes to college athletics and their classification - although I know football and/or basketball hold a lot of clout.

Can the coaches release something worth being excited for 2022 already? After watching the finals, I can say that Hawaii needs more on their staff. Wisconsin had 4+ Ppl on their staff helping out and coaching.
