We'll have to see all of them in the gym, and who else comes in, but this is shaping up to be a very interesting August.

It's been nice to see the progression in Devin's game. She is contacting the ball a lot better than she was in 2019 and she has a nice swing on the D-ball. Overall her game looks a lot more polished and she looks a lot more confident in her game. She looks like she has put in the work during the limited covid opportunities. Just like many others it was a waiting game to see how much covid would stunt the progress of prep athletes here in Hawai'i (as well as every else) with the strict restrictions in place. Punahou has couple great players as well that could possibly be good catches for some programs as well. Not sure if Lucky-Rose Williams is on the prep radar but she also hits a nice ball and has a nice game. Kahahawai and Matias are the two best players in the state. Matias defensively is amazing and will be a complete stud defender on the beach. Kahahawai looks much stronger. Yes Kahahawai and Matias are two of the best. Kahahawai is getting a lot more pop on her swings and she is making better contact. I really like the progress she has made. She is already hitting a nice d ball. That would be a nice weapon for any program that she chooses. In my opinion the strongest part of Matias' game is her defense.

If Devin is an OPP, I don’t see her signing with UH. With DeGoede and Demirtas on board as OPPs, I don’t see where there will be enough room for 3 OPPs.
Was Demirtas signed because Kahahawai is taking too long to decide or Demirtas was signing regardless of whether Hawaii got Kahahawai?

Curious why, in the University of Hawaii Athletic Website, the Title of the article is "Demirtas Completes 2021 Freshmen Class". Does that mean, Robyn is not expected to sign any more Freshman players. Wondering then, has Kahahawai taken UH off her list, or has Robyn taken Kahahawai off her list.

Want to make sure now, Kahahawai will be a Senior come 2021, right?

Devin Kahahawai is a left side hitter at the next level. You need more than two right side hitters if you are running a 6-2 with shorter setters like Lang and Matias.

Robyn could always redshirt Kahahawai, so she will have 2 years to start after Demirtas and DeGoede grad. I can even see Robyn redshirting a couple of other Outside Hitter players, creating more of a gap.

Matias is one of those that are an athlete first. She's a good setter and team leader, but the part of her game that makes you say 'DIV-I' is her defense, her ability to put on her track shoes and do something amazing with an errant pass, good VBIQ, and an effective serve. On the beach, I expect she'll do well right away. I see the makings of a solid libero as well, but my guess is Robyn wants to see her set first, probably in a 6-2, and if she isn't starting she'd probably DS quite a bit.
