We get chance to get Guewe Diouf? She could step right into the starting lineup and add France to our global recruiting pipeline. She reminds me of Kanani Danielson. Same kind of hops and same kind of power. I have no idea why they need her In case Jolie doesn’t come back and we are left with a bunch of inexperienced left side hitters. BVS is the only experienced LS hitter coming back. I have no idea how much others have improved. Diouf is somebody who played in a big time conference and was freshman of the year in the Southwestern division of the Big 12. As much as I’m excited about the freshmen coming in, there are still concerns that they may need time to develop. Diouf is a proven player.

You guys don't know you have it so good with the incoming class, instead you want someone who is undersized, and could be a liability in the front row. I'l take my chances with the Wahine's incoming class. Their international recruits have more upside than Guewe Diouf.

We get chance to get Guewe Diouf? She could step right into the starting lineup... She couldn't... She tore her ACL in March.

Hawaii is fine with their international recruits. You can't teach height, and the incoming girl are very physical and that's what they need at the net.

It was a big loss for Utah.. Hawaii will be just fine with the setters we have and will have in the future. But actually, it wasn't. Utah's setter will be better than any of the Texas or Hawaii options next year. Yuck

Did you just say Diouf could be "liability" in the front row? Delete this post. It is not too late. I won't. Is she Pressley good? Hell no. You just said she's a liability in the front row. You have no idea who she is... Yes, she is Pressley good. She is future AA good. No, Hawai'i fans don't need to worry about getting her.

Her overall game though was incredible. Vertical isn't everything.

Her overall game though was incredible. Vertical isn't everything. That reminds me, Martyna Leoniak played in a match yesterday for her club team. She got stuffed often and started to fall apart in passing and defense too. Coach eventually yanked her. Hope she gets her form together for the rest of the matches and learns more resilience by the time she gets to Hawaii. I project Leoniak as a starter, but watch for dark horses like Mia Johnson or Westerberg to step in if Leoniak breaks down.

I was always big on Westerberg, and I think she will be a factor for Hawaii this fall. Mia Johnson comes very polished in my opinion from High School.
