Is there a scholarship open for a 2021 or 2022 that isn’t already going to a current player/recruit? I counted 7 currently on indoor scholarship(excluded Glagau due to talk of her only being offered for one year). 4 coming in with scholarships(Johnson, DeGoede,Leoniak and Demirtas). That would make 11 on scholarship. One to give if Glagau is not coming back. 0 to give if Glagau comes back. 2022 still too early to guess. I don’t think there is any to give since we only have Byrd graduating . That one goes to Matias. Scholarship(s) could open up if players leave. That is down the line and unknown. Looking forward to all the newbies coming in. In the past, the girls usually show up for the second summer session and take a few classes to get a head start academically. I wonder with COVID, if that will still be the case? It’s less than 2 months away, I hope everybody comes in ready to go or they will feel the wrath of the coaches.

I do believe that they will have a very strong offense all around, but I am curious if Kate Lane or Malana Byrd good or well good enough to the point where they can run the offense well.

Kate Lang is a VERY talented setter. She won’t be the next Carlini, poulter lilley, but she will get the job done. The future is bright in her hands

From what I have seen, it seems like they have a very talented young group that can make Hawaii a top contender this year and the years to come.

She might be one of the most natural right side setters I've seen in a while. Her left side setting needs some love based on what I saw from her club days, but I bet Robyn is whipping that into shape.

She can set a high ball and quick ball. Quick sets to the middle could use more work though. BTW, Lang verbally committed around this time. Looking forward to some 2023s hehe...

You're probably just referring to her 2019 club national championship match. See Lang #10 in blue/black below

Both de Goede and Leoniak are in contention for the Dutch and Polish U20 WCH teams. (official teams haven't been selected yet)
The tournament is like July 8-18 or something like that.
