Yes, lots of Aloha to her. Here's her IG post: I’d like to start this post by saying thank you. Thank you to the University of Hawaii, Coach Robyn and my amazing teammates for giving me the opportunity to be a Rainbow Wahine. Thank you to all the fans who opened their arms and welcomed me into their Ohana. And lastly thank you to all my trainers and doctors who dedicated their time to helping my recoveries. I regret to say I will not be participating in the 6th year of eligibility the NCAA has granted us. Over the past 5 years I’ve struggled with injury and I am no in a mental space where I feel safe competing. I will be taking this time to be close to family and hopefully learn to love myself and volleyball in a healthy way again. Thank you Hawaii Aloha ‘oe Jolie Rasmussen Sounds like she was inspired by Simone Biles to open up about her experience. I hope she can find joy in volleyball again. agree! ... some joy in volleyball ... and some peace of mind.  all the best to jolie ... thank you for giving your all in the time you were here. you were a joy to watch! |

Robyn probably doesn’t want to put out partial/wrong information and then go correct it afterwards. Better to have everyone here, get their official heights and their bios correct and get it done correctly. I believe Martyna is on her way and should be here tonight . Don’t know when Demirtas gets here but first practice is August 9 so the roster should be out soon. |

Yea and a few interviews of Coach Rob earlier in some of the seasons showed me that sometimes it’s gonna be like pulling teeth trying to get useful information from her lol so I’ve just accepted it |

And I think with the recent wildfires in Turkey might have something to do with Ilayda not being here just yet. Then again, I'm just speculating. Her province is one of the affected. |

Any word/insight on who will be our Associate Head Coach? Practice starts soon. Inquiring minds want to know. UH is not hiring for an Associate Head Coach right now. They're hiring for a Temporary Assistant Coach. They don't seem to be hiring for a beach coach at the moment but I guess they're not in season anyway. People have speculated that the new indoor coach will be someone Robyn already knows. I think Puna Kaniho might be a candidate but I believe he also committed to a coaching job at GCU previously? The temporary indoor position also opens the door for a possible Coach Ang return. Nothing confirmed except for the Temporary Assistant Coach position posting |

I hope Lang Ping wouldn’t mind spending 4 months in Hawaii before she retires. She and Robyn know each other so we can always dream . ;-)

Since this is a Temporary Assistant Coaching position. wondering if there is any chance of Dave Shoji coming out of retirement to take this position? Especially, if it for only 1, or 2 years. Then relinquishing the position to either Coach Ang, if she decides to return, or quite possibly to one, or both, of his sons.
