Still impressive. TAV and Texas are deep. Also take into account that she was only a sophomore, maybe 17 years old, at the time and her native of Northern CA isn't well known for volleyball competition The drop between black and blue teams is very drastic. Not to say she isn’t a good player, but 20 kills against a blue team isn’t a super big indicator of her talent in college I'm sure she'll be great at college indoor and beach. She did receive multiple offers from some well-known D1 programs for both indoor and beach. She noted that she enjoyed the sand volleyball community in Hawaii, hopefully she enjoys the indoor community too and plays UH indoor at some point.

As separately successful as each team has been recently, it’s probably going to become less common for players to do both. With Amber and Brooke and the other lesser role players also on the indoor team, they didn’t really have an indoor season to recover from. Is Glagau even on the indoor team this year?

When will UH put their 2021 roster up? Robyn said when they have everyone on campus and available to take pictures.

I remember it took awhile for Helvig to arrive but forget how close it got as compared to the ones we’re waiting on now. I believe Leoniak isn't on campus yet because of her participating in the U20 Women's World Championship. I think after that, the only player who we're uncertain about is Demirtas. I believe everyone else is accounted for, and I'm assuming that both players will be on campus in a week or so. Exciting!

There is no reason for Leoniak and Demirtas to come early since no mandatory practice is happening. I think Mia and Annika came early maybe to attend summer school. I know both got here before the second summer session began so I’m guessing they are attending summer school. Their scholarship may not kick in yet so if they report early without attending summer school , they may be responsible for their own housing and accommodations. http://instagram.com/p/CR4VEuLn6Jz

A Good Hawaii women's volleyball team is good for USA Volleyball.
Hawaii has to be at a serious disadvantage when recruiting mainland players. Players and families can't just "stop by". Players now having to pay for more visits makes it worse.
Each year going forward could we ask the last year's top fifteen teams to shoot a note to Hawaii saying here are three really great players we are not going to have room for?
A Proud History: 3 National Championships. Two time Runner Up. Let's bring Hawaii Back!

Each year going forward could we ask the last year's top fifteen teams to shoot a note to Hawaii saying here are three really great players we are not going to have room for? It;s not that easy. There are issues of whether that player is a good fit, issue of whether they can handle the coaching style and issue of whether they want to be here. Coaches want to recruit their own players and not pick up “leftovers “ from other schools. Hawaii will be fine. Having a mixture of international and domestic players is a good way to build a team. There are a lot of good International players out there.

God Bless Jolie.. hopefully she gets better.. seems like she has been dealing with a lot.. :-((( Yes, lots of Aloha to her. Here's her IG post: I’d like to start this post by saying thank you. Thank you to the University of Hawaii, Coach Robyn and my amazing teammates for giving me the opportunity to be a Rainbow Wahine. Thank you to all the fans who opened their arms and welcomed me into their Ohana. And lastly thank you to all my trainers and doctors who dedicated their time to helping my recoveries. I regret to say I will not be participating in the 6th year of eligibility the NCAA has granted us. Over the past 5 years I’ve struggled with injury and I am no in a mental space where I feel safe competing. I will be taking this time to be close to family and hopefully learn to love myself and volleyball in a healthy way again. Thank you Hawaii Aloha ‘oe Jolie Rasmussen
