All those posters crying that Lexi wasn't asking for all the attention she got... hmmm. She certainly appears to be looking for it. Posting about coming back like every other returning 5th year senior is looking for attention? Every fan base was speculating on their players. This is how players have been getting the message out. As for the play on words, it's all in fun. The Husker media team made it, she didn't. She just used it for the announcement. People love to make something out of nothing. They thought too hard, too long, too seriously.

Had this been a tweet from Texas Volleyball referencing a player using biblical satire there would be a whole new thread created...đ

I feel like at this point Lexi knows the attention/haters she gets and does stuff like this to troll them whenever she can.

Isnât this her instagram account?? Sheâs obviously on board. Yes I know she's on board...I just would have thought a Christian (as Lexi Sun claims to be) would not be cool with this, but clearly she is. Are you a member of the Pharisee or the Sadducees? Her pic has nothing to do with Christ and even if it did, I would bet He doesnât care. Why should you?

Not currently a member, and I said in prior posts that I get that it isn't that big of a deal but that does raise concerns as a Christian... Her pic has plenty to do with Christ. She is referencing His resurrection (the most important component of the Christian faith) and switching up the language of the verse to be about her and her return to Nebraska and created a fake bible verse (II Sun 20:21) to accompany it. I care (though again am not huffing and puffing over here) because I do think Christ would care about this, because He cares about His name...His most important act while on earth is being mocked/twisted to instead be used by a volleyball player/program to promote herself as she inserts herself into Christ's place in the scriptures. I don't understand why some here are upset about us discussing a post, that clearly a lot of thought went into, that could be perceived as insensitive/irreverent towards the Christian faith.

Agree - this is totally a reference to the resurrection of Christ. As a Christian - this doesn't bother me, I can easily ignore. the worst part - I don't find it all that witty. Not nearly as witty as the Texas tweet about Sun & Sky(ler) last month. I don't think Jesus would be offended or consider this as being mocked/twisted.

At the moment, that post has over 25,000 likes. Thereâs a very easy way to not be judged by strangers - make your social media private.

I do not know, but Rettke is also on that team. And, my gut still says both of them leave. But, that's just because it is what I would do, not a comment on what I think they should do under their own personal circumstances. ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ I always think athletes who can make money should go and do it. Especially since both have a degree in hand already.

Sorry; I don't have social media unless you consider Volley talk! I wasn't talking about judging me! Who was being judged?
