Doubt it. There's a reason she wasn't picked before Nwanebu, Lowe, Atkinson, Willow. Atkinson literally can NOT dig a ball or pick up a tip. I think the captains were valuing fire power a little too much. I think there’s a reason you weren’t selected to be a coach for the league. Probably going to go ahead and trust the people that are there.

I think the captains were valuing fire power a little too much. You're valuing defense too much. Especially from an opposite. They are there to terminate the ball out of system. If your opposite can't do that, then you need a new one

She's 37 and hasn't played a full club season since Rio. She's played all of four months with covid cancelling the season last year and even then I dont think she was the first choice opposite for Minas willing to bet that at age 37 she’s still better then most of the other opposites in this league. Sure she can’t hit as hard as Ebony right now but I guarantee she plays better defense and has better shots than anyone here barring maybe Larson So you’re willing to bet that the players and coaches who have been practicing, scrimmaging and watching her play over the past couple weeks are all wrong?

I rewatched her play against Russia the other day in the replay of that semi final but obviously that wasn’t the last time she played. I just think it’s whack that Johnson and Atkinson are ahead of her. I think with some more time back in the gym she will move up on the depth chart

Atkinson shouldn't be shocking at all. She was my #2 going into AU after Lowe. I think you're putting too much thought into success that was 5 years ago and she's played less volleyball since then quite literally every other player.

I mean I’m probably putting a little too much stock in that success that she had but still you guys might not be putting enough. She brings experience and a different style to the game that you don’t get from the newbies.

Lowe has plenty of experience. Nwanebu has played in Turkey and Italy. Holston has played for Chemik Police and in Bulgaria. Freeman has played for Yesilyurt and all over Europe/Asia. Katie Carter might have the most diverse set of teams/countries played for. There's a reason Sheilla's not playing in Brazil this season.

A ‘different style’ isn’t a positive for all these athletes who have been indoctrinated into the USAV system.

I might have missed this, but is there a rule about equal playing time? If points are awarded on your play, you need to be on the court as equally as possible, I would think.

I agree you need a terminal opp but if you have DLC or Edmond on your team then maybe you go for a better defender like Castro Bc you have that OOS terminator already.
