I feel woefully underprepared lol. Gotta look back at last year’s thread for ideas... I just remembered... you were a half (0.5) points away from finishing in 2nd place last year! Unfortunately, you were also (0.5) points from finishing in 3rd, so that's unfortunate. But don't act like you can't hang with the Big Dogs!

Oh I remember that quite vividly! Ugh. I think it came down to like a single match where one of my normal producers did nothing. Alas, that is how fantasy goes! Hoping for a slight improvement this year.

Updated rule on the sub list, only relevant to players who play multiple positions (S/OH)
7. For players who play multiple positions (S/OPP) that are not active in any week: They must be given a designated position on the substitution list (S or OPP, for this example). This player can still sub into the "Player of Any Position" spot of the roster regardless of whatever designated position is given. However, this player cannot be used as a sub/back-up for BOTH setter and OPP in the a weekly roster. Also, you may change this designation from week to week. That player can be listed on the sub list as a Setter for Week 3 and as an Opposite for week 4.

I added a direct download link to a "Weekly Scoring Template" under Pinned Links in the OP. Hopefully this makes it easier for league members to score their own matches. 👍

I accept. Do the 2019 admins also have invitations to the 2021 fall league? Welcome! No, not unless the NCAA pulls the plug or the league cannot be finished for whatever reason. The Fall league guarantees are set up for the 2021 Admins + Top 3 finishers + vbjustice. That already covers vup, but if you or duncaroo want to admin in the Fall, I'm sure nobody will hold any objection to that and you could lock down a spot now. I'd do that, but solo this time.

I imagine interest will be higher for the Fall, so there will be people rooting for you to take a Top 3 spot here and deny a "bid-stealer" with more at-larges! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Also, for anyone considering drafting Jonni Parker (Penn State) she will be considered an OH/OPP for the league position definitions, NOT a S/OPP.
If you draft Parker and in Week 1 she starts setting or setting and hitting, you can drop/add her simultaneously (add/drops are unlimited that early) so that in Week 2 on your roster she would appear as S/OPP, but you are not required to do so.
If there are any other concerns or questions regarding a potential players position, you can ask hypotheticals without explicitly saying their name. Or you can always wait until the draft comes to your turn, but, it might cause slight delays. The rule generally is whatever position they are listed on their roster, but, there will be exceptions, and Parker is one of them! (The reasoning is that Parker has not set yet in her career at PSU, and has consistently played as a pin hitter in every match she's played.)

Not someone I would draft in a Fantasy League. 🤣 JK - in all seriousness, I would ask the other admins, but my opinion is a pin hitter (OH/OPP) solely. At her current school, she never set. For players that are picked up after the start of the season, you pick them up as the position they are playing. Before the season, its hard to create a single rule that fits all players. Overwhelmingly, most players play their roster position. There are other unique scenarios. We don’t want to encourage people actively trying to use Gabby Blossom as a libero (yes, it happened).

She would get more assists than a libero would get digs. Sacrifice some digs to win assists.

Digs are also a much easier category to make-up ground in. Setters and OH's can even out-dig liberos in any given game. Assists are the unique category here as well. For the most part and unlike the other 4 categories (kills, aces, digs, blocks), 90-95%+ are contributed by exclusively one position (obviously, Setter). Now, if there was an actual libero who set part time or full time while in the libero jersey, that's something you would want to reward. The year Valpo used their libero as a full-time setter, she would have been Fantasy GOLD.

Can’t think of too many college setters that also DS. I guess I’ve heard Ashburn is doing that, but makes sense sitting behind Hilley.
