I had never heard of Disturbia, so I Googled it. Just from the first line of the plot description, the answer sounds like it must be Rear Window. Rear Window is about as excellent as you would think that an Alfred Hitchcock movie starring Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly might be.
I also Googled "Ferngully" and I would guess they are referring to Avatar. I personally have always complained that Avatar is an uncredited ripoff, but of the Poul Anderson story "Call Me Joe".
In Call Me Joe, humans are exploring the surface of Jupiter (hey, it's on old story...) by using a machine to move the mind of a disabled man into the body of one of the ape-like creatures that scientists have designed to explore on the planet. But there is an increasingly frequent failure of the machines. The authorities running the project believe this is being caused by the operator having a mental block that resists going into the machine, and they call in a psychologist to help. But the psychologist realizes the mental block is actually the operator not wanting to come OUT of the machine. When he is "Joe", he is a strong leader of his people, with many wives, living an exciting life on the surface of Jupiter. When he comes back, he is trapped in the shell of a body that he hates. The expert realizes that this is not a bad thing, but an opportunity -- they can recruit people to be "Jovians" who want a second chance in a new, stronger body.

What 2006 Pixar movie was accused of ripping off its plot from the 1991 Michael J. Fox classic “Doc Hollywood”? 4. What “E.T.” rip-off bombed at the box office when it was released in 1988, and is more notorious today for being the subject of a running gag whenever Paul Rudd does an interview with Conan O’Brien? 5. DreamWorks was sued in 2008 by a group claiming the movie “Disturbia” was an unlicensed adaptation of a short story called “It Had To Be Murder.” What 1954 movie was also based on this short story? 1. 2.
