1. I think maybe Jane Campion and maybe Kathryn Bigelow. Then I'll just list a few other favorites to round it out, though don't think any of them were nominated: Celine Sciamma (maybe for best foreign language oscar), Debra Granik, Kelly Reichardt AND Sofia Coppola on the strength of Lost In Translation alone, which is a favorite. She won for best screenplay, I think, but I can't remember if it was nominated for best pic.
