I typically don't say "and" when pronouncing 101 - usually "one hundred one", or maybe "one-oh-one" (when I'm thinking of the U.S. Highway). I guess if I'm thinking of the book or movie 101 Dalmatians, I would use "and".
Spanish gets to an "a" a lot faster than English - "cuatro".

The thing about Richard Burton that once confused me is that the Richard Burton many people know (20th century actor) is not the first Richard Burton I learned about. That was Richard Francis Burton, the 19th century explorer/scholar/soldier (who I first came across in Philip Jose Farmer's Riverworld).

Swedish gets there even faster, at två (2).

1. Which was the final state to be added to the contiguous 48 states?
2. What quote-unquote “meal replacement” company—which launched in 2014 after raising 1.5 million dollars on Kickstarter—gets its name from a product in a 1966 dystopian sci-fi novel?
3. Pluto used to have the largest moon in the Solar System relative to its home planet. Since Pluto’s planetary status is now contested, which for-sure planet has the largest relative moon?
4. What cocktail is made with Scotch whisky and Drambuie, and, according to legend, got its name from the item its creator used to stir it?
5. What two-word phrase, describing the diplomatic alliance between the U.S. and England, was coined by Winston Churchill in 1946 in a post-WWII speech?

I prefer my scotch to taste like scotch.
(I *actually* prefer my scotch to taste like bourbon, but that's neither here nor there)

I prefer my scotch to taste like scotch. IMO, if you want to drink Scotch, you should drink Scotch. If you want to make mixed drinks, you should use some mamby-pamby alcohol like vodka or rum.
