Are Vernon and McDonald hurt? I doubt they were beat out? Yes they are unfortunately. OSU needs them back or it will be a difficult year for them. |

I hope Oregon State has some good middles and pin hitters coming in next year or two. They have solid setters and back row, but are not effective enough in the front consistently. They lose matches they shouldnt. Part of me wonders if its a coaching/recruiting issue. Oregon State has been a team that has made it to post season, but it is disappointing that they cant get back to that level recently.

Losing Massey is not good for the Beavers clearly. They have 4 other DS's, so hopefully one of them steps up big next year. They should be okay without Schell and Goings if they get Vernon back to full strength and McDonald recovered. They can slip in those spots and be very effective, plus they have another OH and MB joining next season.

Bummer she is leaving, but she wasn't getting much playing time as Izzy pretty much has the setter starting spot locked down.

She will be a difference maker for the Beavs next year! She was listed as 5'10 when she committed in the fall, and now listed at 6'0. 😉 The eye test says she's still 5'10, but with great athleticism and hops. Hope she has a great career at OSU. |

Spring scrimmage update:
Oregon state will be hosting Oregon 5/7 8pm. Then Oregon State will be participating in a round robin Tourney vs. Washington and Oregon 5/14 at West Linn HS in Portland, 2pm.
