SC won 5-0.
Coach Blanton has to explain this lineup. Not sure about some of his pairing decisions.

1. Scoles/Slater 21-17, 21-12 2. Graudina/Kraft 21-9, 21-13 3. Hallgren/Harward 21-18, 21-13 4. Dennis/Maple 21-10, 21-10 5. Nourse/Nourse 21-13, 21-10 Okay, so even though this lineup is extremely strange, if USC keeps this no one is beating them for the rest of this year. Graudina/Kraft at twos and the Nourse twins at 5 are essentially automatic wins, and then they only have to win one more match between Dennis/Maple who have been pretty rock solid this year, Halgren/Harward who was the 1s pair last year now playing at 3s, and Scoles/Slater who could also be solid, albeit prolly the least likely to win pair of the 5 teams. That being said in no world should Tina Graudina be at twos. That is quite frankly unexplainable. Only rationale for this would be that they weren’t sure how Megan Kraft would perform on defense, but even hat is a stretch.

I stan Scoles and Tina, and it's surprising to see the switch in flights, but after watching Tina play last week the air of greatness didn't feel like it was there. It might be a temp move but good on Coach for moving things around to see what works.

What about in a world where Graudina is a better pairing with someone who would otherwise have to be at court two? And in that same world, Slater and Scoles perform better as a pair than Graudina and whomever at court two? People sometimes forget that this is a *pairs* sport and they pairs need to perform or be shuffled for maximum team (school) potential.

Did Scoles have to return to the ones since she last played there (vs. Utah) before her injury?

Did Scoles have to return to the ones since she last played there (vs. Utah) before her injury? Yes - but now that Kraft is at the top court with Graudina, it would take her two duals to get back to court three with Hallgren.

It will be interesting to see if SC sticks with this line up. Kraft is greater than Slater. It will be interesting to see how they play against Ucla, FSU and LSU. I'm wondering if it might have been better to drop Slater to the 3 with Hallgren so that Scoles and Harward could stay paired at the two spot.

I think Slater/Hallgren fit together better. Similar talent levels, good all around skill levels. They used to play together when they were juniors.

Why are Nourse & Nourse #5? I'm having difficulty not thinking of the sandbag.

Why are Nourse & Nourse #5? I'm having difficulty not thinking of the sandbag. I mean the other flights are just as comparable and have had amazing results as well. I really don't think this is sandbagging honestly.
