You won 5-0? We demand an explanation for this BS! A USC fan may not care but the opposition might question the legitimacy of the pairings and whether it constitutes sandbagging. What five's pair in the country would stand a chance against Dennis/Maple? The problem is USC is just that stacked.

And all it took for them to lose two matches last weekend was to miss one of their starters. Those two things combined should clear any objective person's mind that there is sand bagging going on. I've got a lot of respect for Blanton, but it is probably hard even for him to gauge exactly what the order is, and seeing all these different pairings perform so well this weekend will only complicate that.

What five's pair in the country would stand a chance against Dennis/Maple? The problem is USC is just that stacked. I didn’t say that I believe it is or isn’t sandbagging. My point was that there is likely opposition that feel it is when, for example, Graudina is at flight #2. USC would have to prove that there were legitimate reasons why the lineup was ordered the way it was.

I don't think there is a lineup that USC could field that some butt-hurt opponent's fan wouldn't try to call sandbagging. Completely preposterous.

My point was that there is likely opposition that feel it is when, for example, Graudina is at flight #2. USC would have to prove that there were legitimate reasons why the lineup was ordered the way it was. Again - I said this in an earlier post... Graudina at #2 literally doesn't mean almost anything. On top of that, she's now at #1 again, so whatever. Nonetheless, let me simplify: Graudina + Slater = beats everyone at every practice almost all the time To extremes: Graudina + SadLad = only wins when SadLad plays out of her mind - so they lose to every other USC pair at practice ALL. THE. TIME. One day, Graudina/Slater no longer beat everyone at practice, so as a head coach, you try to find a pair that does that. They drill it down all the time to see which pairs should be ranked where. So turns out Graudina/Kraft were pretty good but lost repeatedly to Scoles/Slater in practice. But maybe only by a little. You could conceivably (and should be able to) put those pairs in whatever order is true to the rankings. I don't see anywhere in the rule books that says you need to order your pairs the way fans think you should because of XXXXX reasons. Also - because Graudina can't conceivably play with Graudina (because she's literally only HALF of a pair), there's no way the general public would know what pairs are better than others only because of one person. You can "yeah, but" all you want - but "best player + second best player" does not always equal best pair.

I’m guessing you mean Jessica Smith as UCLA’s best 2021 commit. Smith was playing with Colby Bennett who will be joining USC for next season.
