At least they've played in the WCC. I thought it was awkward last season when Taylor Wolf (Green Bay -> Marquette) was named all preseason Big East Skinner did make All BIG 12 preseason this year 👀👀👀 I guess it's just a matter of perspective. It's a meaningless award anyways lol

Which brings me to my next question: Is this an actual "award"? Does the conference send each of these women a trophy, or a plaque or even a certificate "suitable for framing"? Or is it just shout out?

The live stats weren't working, but the broadcast said that BYU hit .391. BYU had seven aces and were led by Ballard-Nixon's 14 kills. Gneiting was 5-for-5.

BYU outhit SUU .391 to .035. Ballard-Nixon hit .480 on 14-2-25, while Eschenberg hit .750 with six kills an no errors on eight swings. Bower had three kills on .500 hitting to go along with 27 assists and 14 digs. Allen also had a double-double with 13 digs and 10 assists. She and Koerber each had two aces. As mentioned, Gneiting hit 1.000 on five swings, and she also had an ace and a block in just two sets, as she didn't play in the third set. SUU actually outlblocked BYU 7-3. Part of that was because I thought BYU's bump sets were pretty bad the entire match, which led to some predictable swings into the block. But part of it was that Raegen Ashby was legitimately good, as she had four blocks, including a solo stuff on Eschenberg on an in-system play.
