The season is underway. BYU is up 10-2 in the first set, which forced an SUU timeout. Even BLUE isn't this bad. |

BYU outhit LMU .462 to -.077. Koerber hit .471 on 9-1-17 and had nine digs and four blocks. Ballard-Nixon hit .800 with eight kills and no errors on 10 swings. Eschenberg hit .400 and had six blocks. Bower had 33 assists, and Allen had 10 digs.

The Rebels beat the Thunderbirds in straight sets, but 2 of the sets were quite close. So they appear to be only marginally better than SUU. Kind of a surprise, as UNLV is projected to win the MWC. I don't think Hayden played at all this weekend. Doesn't surprise me that UNLV struggled without her. |
