She might be, but that's what she's listed at. I'll update it if I find a reliable source stating otherwise. we play against them, and I think that’s about accurate. She can jump out of the gym tho. Touches about 10’7 (last year) Yeah, I know she can really jump. She has the current Club V record at 10'7.5". Actually, I just found her club team, and it shows that she is now listed at 6'0", so I'll go ahead and update her height to that figure. It looks like Brielle Miller is also listed at 5'6" rather than 5'5". Edit: here's a recent highlight showing Mia Lee's jumping ability. https://www.instagram.com/p/CbQuObTjPCD

Reminds me of Florida alum Shainah Joseph who is also 6'0 and has a 40.5 inch vertical jump. Joseph touches 10ft 8inches now. Lee will only get stronger!

A couple more notes on the 2023 class: -Claire Little changed clubs and is now at Coast. Apparently, she was " sensational" in her first year there. Her club coach said this: “We’ve had a lot of incredible players come through the program, but it is the rare talented kid that throws off attention and just grinds. Claire’s grit is unreal.” -Brielle Kemavor's club posted what Prep Dig had to say about her about a week ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/CcZSExOs34Y Overall, I think this 2023 class has the potential to be one of the best in BYU history.

I think you might actually be right on the 2023 class. Stadium Talk also listed Claire Little and Silina Damuni as best players in their States of California and Utah. Brielle Miller has played on the USA training program team and all these girls are playing up against each other towards the Open 17 Nationals in Indiana. Excited for this BYU season and for the future as well.

Yeah, I found the list of qualified teams, and it looks like Kemavor's team and Little's team have qualified, in addition to the Damuni/Lee/Miller team. Edit: After going through through the relevant thread, it appears that Benson's team also qualified but will be going to AAU nationals instead.

What the heck happened to our spring games? I am not sure how much I can say… but let’s just say we need to get healthy. So this was pretty cryptic, but I thought this might indicate that Whitney Bower was injured (I just couldn't imagine an injury to any other player warranting the cancellation of the spring games). I didn't want to speculate without any evidence, but a few days ago, she posted some photos on Instagram of herself on crutches with a knee brace, so it looks like she had surgery recently. I have no idea what the injury was, but hopefully, she recovers quickly. Edit: I just checked, and with Meyer and Hifo transferring, Bower is the only setter on the roster right now. So yeah, they had to cancel.

I don’t remember them getting a transfer but I could be wrong.

I don’t remember them getting a transfer but I could be wrong. Last I heard, they had a grad transfer setter coming in, Abby Olsen from Wyoming. That said, I think Decker would likely get the start if Bower can't play. I doubt they were planning to redshirt Decker even if Bower is ready to start in August, as Damuni is coming in the next class.

This is Luke Benson's sister, right? Yes, according to this article. It says she's an opposite, but her club lists her as an outside hitter. So a pin of some kind. It said she's was a junior in the fall, so that means she's part of the 2023 class. I'm not exactly sure how tall she is (another article just said "tall"). Here are some highlights: It looks like she's trained by Walt Ker. Clearly, she'll have a lot of technical training.

Would you mind elaborating on the kind of training you're referring to? One area or all-around?

Akana started following BYU players I try not to read too much into who is following who on Instagram. However, I did some research on Akana, and her dad played basketball at BYU Hawaii. Also, her brother is a highly-regarded football recruit (class of 2023) who is currently going to high school in Lehi, which is just up the road from Provo, so she likely has some other relatives in the area. Given that our libero just transferred, it seems Akana would have a good shot at the libero job immediately (honestly, given that she was good enough to play a significant role at Nebraska, she probably would have had a good shot even without the transfer). Edit: If I'm not mistaken, I think Akana's dad is currently on staff at BYU Hawaii. I don't want to get my hopes up, but we'll see.
