Why some of you wants to see her play for NT? I mean she WAS okay when was still playing 5 or even 10yrs ago but now? About time they give priority to youbg players. If they want to win OG sheilla can't help them. She is not a scoring machine and definitely not as good as before. Just like USA Team, you want young players to play for development. I disagree. If she keeps training and getting back into form she can still be terminal with a good setter. We saw glimpses of this at AU do you have a yr to prepare and look for better setter for her? Lol their pool for that position is too deep, will she play head to head against top opposite who can carry the team? Tandara and lorenne are even better than her.

Italy, Russia, and Poland are requesting FIVB to increase the amount of players being brought into the bubble so that their main players who ended club season late don't have to rush into playing VNL in the beginning. link
If there is no change might Italy and Russia possibly send a weak VNL roster while their main players train for Tokyo at home?

Italy, Poland and Russia not sending their best players in VNL?
It’s starting.
I say don’t send USA starters to VNL too. Keep it leveled. No scouting. Train in Anaheim instead. Send those who are still fighting for backup slots + newbies.

Poland's wide training roster. link Lots of new names as this year will be a developmental year for them. Head coach Nawrocki, "This is the moment when we have to look a little bit more perspective and give players in different positions a chance, in terms of the future of the team."
Smarzek is listed, but Wolosz will skip VNL and join the team later on when they prepare for the European Championship. S: Nowicka, Krajewska, Lazowska, Polak, Wenerska OPP: Smarzek, Rasinska, Druzkowska OH: Stysiak, Grajber, Lukasik, Gorecka, Fedusio, Damaske, Rozanski, Czyrnianska, Wojcik, Szlagowska MB: Kakolewska, Efimienko, Alagierska, Centka, Gryka, Stencel, Ziolkowska L: Stenzel, Jagla, Lysiak

Vaccination isn't necessary right? Or they require all players and staff?

Vaccination isn't necessary right? Or they require all players and staff? Countries that produce the vaccine (Russia, China, USA) or have an abundance of vaccines (Serbia) will almost certainly vaccinate their athletes.

(ohhhhh she's only retiring from the National Team, not all together) Here's her letter
“The night of April 5, 2021 will be marked in my life. After a difficult period in my career, marked by injuries, doubts, uncertainties, and in the midst of a pandemic that saddens the world, I managed to smile again with volleyball. I smiled and cried. Every tear shed yesterday was a hardship that I overcame. Being a Superliga champion again, playing at a high level, was something that no one, three years ago, believed I would be able to do. And I did it. With the support of my family, my fiance, my companions and the technical commission of Itambé Minas, friends, I again felt the taste of raising a trophy after almost five years.
But, we always have tomorrow. It is the law of life. Past, present and future. And after a historic day for me yesterday, today, April 6, 2021, it will also be a day that I will remember forever. It is a day that definitely interferes with my future. Today I made one of the most difficult decisions of my career as a professional athlete. Inevitably, everyone wants to know if I will be with the Brazilian team in the next competitions - including the Tokyo Olympics. But, unfortunately, the answer is no. Today, I say goodbye to the national team with a lot, a lot, chest pain. They are over 14 years dedicated to defending our country in the adult team - (18 considering the base) - and, always with the determination and respect that the flag deserves. There has never been a lack of love and commitment in this beautiful story for both sides.
And it is precisely because I am no longer able to deliver this, physically and mentally, that I end my history with the national team. The last few years have been hard for my body, living with pain on a daily basis. I can't help the whole group the way I like it and I understand that it is necessary. I need to rest and respect, more than anything, my body, which is my work tool. Thinking about the longevity of my club career, it's time to recover. I talked to my doctors and family and we came to this conclusion.
I especially want to thank Zé Roberto and all his family who were instrumental in this return, in addition to the technical committee and everyone who accompanied me on this journey. Without everyone's effort, support and encouragement, I don't know if I would make it this far. My thanks to all my companions who were at my side, sharing trips, concentrations, joys and sorrows. I will always carry with me every memory. I will be here, vibrating and cheering for Brazil, along with the whole population and, especially, with the volleyball lovers. I will always be on hand to help and, above all, to shout and celebrate our achievements.
Gratitude!"

Brazil's chances without her is not looking good. She's was their best middle heading into this summer and now Ze Roberto is going to have to do wonders to adjust after this.

Japan and even korea will fight for that 2nd spot in pool a against brazil. Unless KYK resurrects her 2012 form, I don’t see Korea being competitive without the twins. But this should definitely make it easier for the DR...even though they always seem to end up beating themselves.
