I'm worried too. She wasn't walked out of the building but out of the gym - probably to the locker room for an ice bath. I hope nothing serious. I thought the second time she was shown it was her leaving the building.

So the worst match CC ever played as a Gopher. Then she leaves the bench in the middle of the match. Then she apparently leaves the building.
It seems something was wrong, ya think?
Come back soon, CC!

CC took a huge hit to the shoulder/neck/head area earlier in the match. Wonder if she is in concussion protocol.

The best part about the double-header format this season is that when your team is exhausted from a grueling five-set match the night before... so is your opponent.

I thought Rubright did a nice job tonight on taking the ball on some of Purdue's short serves. Her passes may not have been perfect, but they were good. Rubright certainly looked more comfortable receiving serves than most NCAA middles seem to. One thing that wasn't as good for Minnesota was their first ball contact on some of Purdue's off-speed shots, or shots that popped up high off of blocks. On too many occasions, Minnesota's first contact on balls that weren't moving that fast went backward, and lots of players had that problem (I saw Pittman once and Shaffmaster once, but I think there were others as well). Nice video for other teams to watch. Tip a lot. It brings Samedy and Shaffmaster out. I Whenever Pittman is serving that should be the only play.

Unsung hero of the night: Rachel Kilkelly. She really stepped up to bat in the final two sets and held down the backrow. Kudos to Wenass too. I thought she dug some nice balls. Stop it! It's Wenaas.

Would really like to know what caused McGraw to leave the match. She was walking, unassisted, towel around her neck, flanked by trainers out of the gym. She has had some inconsistent passing in the past. She has NEVER played like she did tonight. Something is not right. And the trainer leaving with her? Pulling Myers was interesting too. I don't want to speculate ...

Wonder if it really was a mental thing where she couldn't pull herself together after such a bad first 3 sets. Not. A. Chance. Criticize her play all you want, but never doubt her competitiveness.

She had that little stint last season where she was out for the concussion. I am wondering...speculating if maybe there are some lingering or just now recently developing symptoms that might have been latent for some time.
Also, she probably wasn’t super happy with her play in the Maryland matches, just a hunch. That probably carried over into this match and maybe really started messing with her mentally. Or, if (big IF) there are some continuing concussion symptoms going on, that could also greatly affect her mental game, particularly the passing aspect.
And the leaving the building could have been just her needing to reset, get fresh air, and step away from what would have been a very unpleasant and (likely) frankly embarrassing game for her. Not defending her or anything, but just speculating.

Maybe we shouldn’t be speculating about things we don’t know anything about. Especially when people are implying it was a mental thing.

Hope CC is back with her team soon.

Despite the loss, Purdue came to play tonight! Well done
