You're thoughts on Marquette and UCF are making me feel 50/50 on San Diego. San Diego will definitely be among the last group of teams for me. You should be rooting for UCF to win. They're up huge in the 3rd here.

The last day of play is always so bonkers. Fun, but bonkers. I feel for you trojansc, especially this year.

UCF fights off a feisty Temple team in 4 sets and claims the AAC AQ for the 3rd year straight.

I know Marquette had that whole situation happen so a lot of people don't want them in the tourney, but I personally want to see Rennie play in the NCAA at least once in her career so i'll be secretly rooting for Marquette to somehow make it in

It probably shouldn't matter, but I think they'll get the benefit of the doubt from making the last 10 tournaments. I hope they don’t rely on history and go with best teams based on this year alone. It’s not that difficult, they have what 16 teams to consider minus at least 8 at large between PAC and B1G, ACC will have 2, SEC with 2, B12 with 1, and 3 others. That’s about it right?

Well, the thing is it's not like San Diego has no case. They're 12-4 with losses to Pepperdine, LMU and BYU twice. They also have a win over Pepperdine. If they were like 6-10 or something, they'd obviously be out, but since they're on the bubble, I think they'll get the benefit of the doubt. Also, I don't agree that it's "not that difficult" to fill out the field this year. Without meaningful non-conference matches, it's harder than it normally would be.

This year, there's actually a pretty big difference. #16 gets a bye, and #17 doesn't. Previously: #16 plays ~ Coppin State and #17 plays ~ Dayton in the 1st round. #16 gets home court. This year: #16 gets a buy and #17 plays ~ Coppin State in the 1st round. All on a neutral court. I think #17 is better off this year than previous years - and that doesn't take into account that #17 could end up facing #1 in the 2nd round with regionalization. No. Previously #17 gets to play at whichever seeded team is closest to them. It could be #16, or it could be #1. Doesn't matter. If that's the only team within 400 miles, that's the team they play.

Don’t disagree with SD but just want it based on this this team this year. I don’t think it will be difficult to fill the field because of the 16 teams, I think 13 will be no brainer. Now, the final three will be challenging. Rice, GT, Pepperdine, FSU, SD etc.

This is impossible. Send Help. Props just for trying. Huge asterisks. We are less sure than ever of what criteria they are using this year. Don't sweat it!
