Assuming the hazing allegation is at the root of this, Coach Davis may have been temporarily suspended as part of a disciplinary action by the university. Personnel disciplinary actions are often confidential actions.
Also if a hazing incident took place one or more players may have received a temporary suspension, and there would be considerable ongoing inter-player anemosity.
That leaves the assistant coaches trying to hold practices and advance team play.
It all fits, whether it was hazing or something else. It appears that something has caused a severe intra-team dispute impacting players and Coach Davis. Tough situation all the way around on a year already suffering from Covid impacts.

This is silly. I’ve gotten five different PMs, all saying something similar. Allegedly, Davis was aware of team hazing and didn’t intervene. The details about the hazing are debated. Thank you, darling. |

I'm just glad Davis wasn't sleeping with one of the players like Pat Summit's son. I was nervous there for a sec cause Davis easily one of the best looking coaches in DI women's volleyball

It appears that something has caused a severe intra-team dispute impacting players and Coach Davis. Thanks for this Please understand I have no inside information or tea. Based on what I am hearing on this thread, that statement seems to fit the situation. Whatever it is, it appears unfortunate for all involved. Hopefully everyone can move past it by fall. |
