Interesting stuff from Creighton SID Rob Anderson. See replies to the tweet for specific breakdown of individual team rpi’s. Takeaway is that rpi meant nothing this year, as is fitting the unusual season. Could also make for upset craziness if rpi’s are legit. I'm not totally anti-RPI as many people on here are (those people usually being fans of money-conference teams that get offended when "mid-majors" manage to put together a good RPI and get an at-large or on rare occasions even a seed). But in order for the RPI to have any value, it has to have sufficient data, primarily in the form of teams playing a wide variety of teams in non-conference matches. However this year, non-conference matches ranged from few to none, and even the conference schedules were especially limited, with many matches being cancelled or conference schedules being reduced from the get-go. so even non-haters of the RPI in general must realize that it is quite meaningless this season. |

This tournament feels so weird. I have to wait 10 days for matches... and then all of the matches are over within another 10 days. Once it starts, it will fly by. Seriously. What are we supposed to do for the next ten days? Ask Nebraska fans. They somehow end up with a season thread that is 100+ pages long before a single set is played. |

Why is there a 10 day pause before this all begins? Covid protocol I assume. My kid tells me they get 3 covid tests this week (with a day between each) prior to travel and then 2 more there before being allowed to practice/play. So yes Covid is causing the delay in play. |

Why is there a 10 day pause before this all begins? I wouldn't complain, it gives your more time to "Call it" correctly, and given your recent record you need the extra time. |
