And Bergmann was like naaah I want that degree (and to be coached by Pinheiro and Collier) so here she is. What's her degree field? Some sort of engineering? not many better places to go if that's the case. Can't blame her even if it isn't. Also...Ze Roberto has a point but I still think her game can grow.

Bergmann was a member of the (senior) Brazil national team at the Pan Am Games, I believe. Not sure she played. Am I correct in thinking that the Pan Am Games is usually where they send the junior members of the senior national teams? That is to say, not the A-teams, but rather the players they want to have get some experience? Not really. The Pan Am Games are like the Olympics of the Americas. The South/Central American/Caribbean countries may take it more seriously. Brazil might not have loaded up completely with the A-team because of the Olympic Qualifier the week prior, but they did send its starting A-Team setter (Macris), middle(Mara), and opposite (Lorenne)who played in that same Olympic Qualifier a week ago. In 2015, Brazil sent a very good team as well and took the silver medal Now the Pan-Am Cup is much less serious, and a yearly event. Pan Am Games are every 4 years. Some countries will still send their best guns to the Pan Am Cup (Puerto Rico, Dominicana, Canada, Argentina) but it's not as 'serious' of an event.

I don't follow international VB enough to have realized the difference between the Pan-Am Cup and the Pan-Am Games. Thanks for explaining.
